Carpet vs hard floor suitability
Well suited to both carpet and hard floors, with DuoClean PowerFins designed for multi-surface cleaning.
Portability rating
8/10 - cordless design and handheld conversion make it easy to move around the home.
Noise level vs category average
About average for a premium cordless stick vacuum.
Allergy friendliness
8/10 - HEPA filtration supports cleaner air output, though allergy performance also depends on maintenance and emptying habits.
Key benefits
- Clean Sense IQ: Automatically adjusts cleaning power when needed to improve dirt pickup on changing floor conditions.
- DuoClean PowerFins Technology: Two brushrolls help clean carpets and hard floors in a single pass without changing heads.
- Self-Cleaning Brushroll: Actively reduces hair wrap during cleaning, making it better suited to homes with pets.
- Up to 60 minutes runtime: Supports longer cleaning sessions before needing a recharge.
- HEPA filtration: Helps capture fine dust for cleaner exhaust air during vacuuming.
- MultiFLEX wand: Bends to reach under furniture more easily and folds for compact storage.
- 0.68 L dust cup: Provides a relatively generous bin size for a cordless stick vacuum, so you can empty it less often.
- LED Smart Display Screen: Lets you monitor controls and vacuum status more clearly while cleaning.
Q: Is the dust bin large enough for pet hair and daily cleaning?
A: Yes, for routine cleaning. The Shark Stratos Pet Pro has a 0.68L bagless dust cup, which is workable for everyday mess and pet hair, but larger homes or heavy-shed periods may mean emptying it more often during a full clean.
Q: Can it clean carpet and hard floors without changing the floor head?
A: Yes. Shark Stratos uses a motorised floor nozzle with DuoClean PowerFins, so it is designed to move between carpet and hard floors without swapping heads. It suits mixed-surface rooms, rather than separate passes with different tools.
Q: How long does the battery last for a typical whole-home clean?
A: Shark Stratos runs for up to 60 minutes per charge, depending on the cleaning mode and task. That is usually enough for routine cordless cleaning, but higher power use on heavier mess can shorten a single session.
Q: Does this cordless Shark come with a wall mount or dock?
A: No. This model is not wall mountable and the included accessories do not list a dock, so storage is floor-based rather than fixed to a wall. The MultiFLEX wand helps by folding down for a more compact storage footprint.
Q: Will the flexible wand reach under low furniture without lifting it?
A: Yes. The MultiFLEX wand bends so the vacuum can reach further under beds, sofas and similar low furniture without needing as much forward tilting. It is a practical reach feature, not a guarantee for every gap height.
Q: Can I use it as a handheld vacuum for stairs and upholstery?
A: Yes. Shark Stratos includes a handheld vacuum body plus an 8" crevice tool and a multi-surface tool, so it is set up for stairs, upholstery and tighter spots. It is dry use only, so it is not made for wet spills or damp mess.
