Helping our communities

The Good Guys Doing Good workplace giving program is delivering positive social impact on the communities where we live and work.

Together with our generous team members, we raise and donate funds for our Doing Good charity partners. Our team members can make regular pre-tax donations to our charity partners. Every dollar donated by our team members is matched dollar for dollar by The Good Guys.

Reducing waste, promoting recycling

The Good Guys strive to minimise the waste we create, and encourages the responsible recycling of cardboard, paper, expanded polystyrene, timber, e-waste, and plastics.

The Good Guys is a member of the Australian Packaging Covenant (APCO), a not-for-profit organisation leading the development of a circular economy for packaging. Our Australian store’s are approved battery collection points for Australia’s official battery stewardship scheme - B-cycle which is all about increasing the recycling of battery waste.

We also collect your e-waste to recycle through our network of stores and home delivery centres, and offer a trade-in service to help keep tech out of landfill and facilitate the re-use of materials.

Progress on Climate Action

The Good Guys strives to minimise the impact that our operations may have on the environment.

The Good Guys has set a target to reduce our scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions to net-zero by 2030.

We’ve developed a plan to reduce our emissions by transitioning to renewable energy across our store and warehouse network, pursuing energy efficiency upgrades, and looking for ways to reduce energy consumption where possible.

Maintaining Ethical Sourcing Standards

The Good Guys is committed to working with our supply partners to further human rights and working conditions in the supply chain.

We are a member of the Responsible Business Alliance a global non-profit industry coalition comprised of companies committed to supporting the rights and wellbeing of workers and communities.

Our Ethical Sourcing Policy outlines the labour, safety, environmental and ethical practices that we expect to be upheld by our suppliers. It is designed to uphold worker rights, minimise unnecessary adverse impacts on the environment, and foster ethical operations through the supply chain.

We publish an annual Modern Slavery Statement, which outlines the work we do to assess and address modern slavery risk in our operations and supply chain.
