Great floor cleaner
Is a great unit. Makes cleaning hard floors a breeze, makes the rugs feel so fresh. Leaves everything clean and feeling fresh. So satifying emptying the dirty water chamber!

Great to have
Awesome for cleaning up after dinner time with little ones, makes it really quick and easy. Only thing I don't like is cleaning out the "chunks" from the seperate tank, but it's super easy to empty and refill

Killa Shark
Great on all surfaces, particularly hard floors. Lasts a decent amount of time before needing to refill water despite the small size of tank.

Key benefits

- Lightweight Build: At 3.9 kg, it is easier to carry, turn and store than heavier full-size floor cleaners.
- Separate Water Tanks: Helps keep fresh cleaning solution separate from dirty pickup during use.
- 500 mL Clean Water Tank: Provides useful capacity for routine room-by-room cleaning before refilling.
- 360 mL Dirty Water Tank: Collects wet mess and debris separately for simpler disposal after cleaning.
- Multi-Surface Cleaning: Handles sealed hard floors and area rugs, giving more flexibility for mixed-surface homes.

Q: Can the Shark HydroVac Pro XL clean carpet or only rugs?
A: No. Shark HydroVac Pro XL is designed for sealed hard floors and for refreshing area rugs, not for deep carpet cleaning. It suits everyday spills and surface mess on those surfaces, but thick or heavily soiled carpet needs a dedicated carpet cleaner.
Q: Does it keep clean water separate from dirty water while cleaning?
A: Yes. Shark HydroVac Pro XL uses separate tanks, with 500 mL for clean solution and a separate tank for collected dirty water. That means fresh solution is applied as you clean, rather than sending used water back onto the floor.
Q: Is this suitable for sealed timber, tile and vinyl floors?
A: Yes. This cleaner is made for sealed hard floors, so it suits many sealed timber, tile and vinyl surfaces used around the home. It is not the right choice for unsealed hard floors, where added moisture can be a problem.
Q: How often do the water tanks need refilling or emptying?
A: For everyday cleaning, the 500 mL clean tank and 360 mL dirty tank suit spot cleans and regular room-by-room use well. On larger whole-home cleans or heavier wet messes, expect to refill fresh water and empty dirty water more often.
Q: Will it handle everyday pet mess on hard floors?
A: Yes. Shark HydroVac Pro XL is well suited to routine pet hair, tracked-in dirt and wet mess on sealed hard floors because it vacuums and washes in one pass. It is less suitable if the main job is deep cleaning carpet where pet hair builds up.
