Clean floors but expensive
I am very happy with my Roborock robot. Addition of this cleaner certainly does leave my floors shiny and clean looking. It is expensive though and not sure why this is.

It's what you'd expect
Mild scent which you can't really smell when the floor is mopped, but floor does feel clean after (compared to only using water without the detergent). Quite pricey considering the volume you have to use according to the ratio in the instructions - the previous one by OMO (also compatible with Roborock) required less detergent for the same price per bottle. Will buy again only because Roborock requires compatible detergent, and can't find an alternative at the moment.

At a glance
The Roborock Floor Cleaner 480ml is a gentle cleaning solution made for households using Roborock robot mops, vacuum-mop combinations, or wet and dry models. It suits regular hard-floor maintenance, helping remove dirt and grime while reducing streaks and watermarks and leaving a fresh scent. The main limitation is that it is designed for sealed hard floors rather than deep treatment of carpet stains.
What it’s great for
- Routine hard floor cleaning
- Robot mop cleaning cycles
- Sealed floor maintenance
- Everyday dirt and grime removal
Where it works best
- Homes with sealed hard floors
- Apartments
- Family households
- Multi-room living spaces
Who it’s for
- Roborock owners
- Busy households
- Apartment dwellers
- Users wanting low-effort floor care
Things to consider
This cleaner is best suited to sealed hard floors and Roborock cleaning systems, so it is not the right choice if you need a specialist formula for heavy carpet stain removal or manual spot treatment.
Pet & child home suitability
Suitable for homes using Roborock floor-cleaning devices on sealed hard floors; store securely and use as directed around pets and children.
Stain removal effectiveness
7/10 - Effective for routine dirt, light stains, and grime on sealed hard floors, but not intended as a specialist carpet spot remover.
Ease of application
9/10 - Simple to use with compatible Roborock robot mops, vacuum-mop combinations, and wet and dry models.
Odour removal score
7/10 - Leaves a fresh scent after cleaning, though it is positioned more as a floor cleaner than a dedicated odour-neutralising treatment.
Key benefits
- 480 mL Bottle: Supports multiple cleaning cycles per bottle, depending on your device tank size and how often you clean.
- Gentle Formula: Cleans hard floors without using an aggressive solution, making it suitable for regular robotic cleaning routines.
- Streak-Reducing Formula: Helps minimise streaks and watermarks for a cleaner-looking finish on sealed hard floors.
- Broad Roborock Compatibility: Works with all Roborock robotic vacuum cleaners and wet and dry models for easier product matching.
- Fresh Scent Finish: Leaves a fresher smell after cleaning, which can help rooms feel cleaner after each cycle.
- Weakly Alkaline Formula: With a pH of 9-11, it is formulated to lift dirt, stains, and grime during routine cleaning.
- Component-Conscious Use: Designed to clean while helping protect internal components in compatible Roborock devices.
Q: Can this cleaner remove carpet stains or is it hard floors only
A: No. Roborock Floor Cleaner is designed for sealed hard floors, not carpet spot cleaning. It suits robot mops and wet cleaning systems, so buyers needing a stronger carpet stain remover should choose one made for carpet fibres.
Q: Is it safe on sealed timber, laminate and tiled floors
A: Yes. Roborock Floor Cleaner is suitable for sealed hard floors, including common surfaces such as sealed timber, laminate and tiles. It is not intended for unsealed floors, where moisture and cleaner can affect the finish.
Q: Do I need to dilute this before adding it to my Roborock
A: No. Roborock Floor Cleaner is not listed as a concentrate, so it is not a mix-heavy formula that needs separate dilution first. Use it in line with your Roborock tank setup rather than treating it like a strong bulk cleaner.
Q: Will this work in a Roborock vacuum that does not mop
A: Yes, it is compatible across Roborock robotic vacuum cleaners, but the cleaning benefit applies when the machine has a wet-cleaning function. In a vacuum used only for dry pickup, this solution does not add a floor-cleaning result.
Q: Does it help stop streaks and white water marks on tiles
A: Yes. Roborock Floor Cleaner uses a balanced formula that helps reduce streaks and watermarks on sealed hard floors. Results still depend on floor finish and pad condition, so it is better for routine mopping than restoring damaged surfaces.
Q: Why choose the Roborock cleaner instead of a general floor detergent
A: Because Roborock Floor Cleaner is formulated for Roborock machines and helps protect internal components during wet cleaning. A general household detergent may clean the floor, but it is not the brand-matched option for Roborock systems.
