Awesome vacuum cleaner
Upgraded from the old bagged cat & dog and I find this one much better. It follows you pretty well without hitting in to everything. Would recommend A+

Easy ro use and great functions
I absolutely love this vacuum!! It does everything from couches to curtains from carpets and mats to all the hard to reach areas in the car... it glides with you instead of tou having to fight with it and its very quiet compared to some. Not to mention the entire dust collection bin comes apart and there is even a little brush for cleaning.

At a glance
The Miele Boost CX1 Cat & Dog is a compact bagless barrel vacuum built for homes with pets, combining strong suction, a TurboBrush and HEPA filtration. It suits small to medium spaces where easy storage and manoeuvrability matter. Its key strengths are pet-hair pickup, stable handling and allergen capture, though the 1 L bin and 6.5 m cord are less ideal for larger homes.

Who it’s for

- Allergy-sensitive households
- Apartment dwellers
- Small family households
- Everyday home cleaners
Things to consider
The 1 L dust bin and 6.5 m cord are better suited to small and medium homes than large homes, and shoppers wanting longer reach or fewer emptying trips may prefer a larger-capacity model.
Pet hair performance score
9/10 - TurboBrush and strong suction make it well suited to removing pet hair from carpets and upholstery.
Large home suitability
Best for small to medium homes rather than large homes due to the 1 L bin and 6.5 m cord.
Carpet vs hard floor fit
Well balanced for mixed flooring, with strong performance across hard floors, tiles and carpets.
Noise level rating
7/10 - at 78 dBA, it is noticeable in use but typical for a powerful barrel vacuum.
Portability rating
9/10 - compact, lightweight construction and stable TrackDrive wheels make it easy to carry and manoeuvre.
Key benefits
- TurboBrush: Helps lift pet hair from upholstery and carpets more effectively than a standard floor head alone.
- HEPA AirClean Filter: Captures fine dust and allergens to support cleaner exhaust air for allergy-sensitive households.
- Bagless Design: Lets you empty the dust container without needing replacement vacuum bags.
- 1 L Dust Bin: Offers a practical capacity for routine cleaning in small to medium homes.
- TrackDrive Wheels: Improves stability and steering through tight spaces while reducing bumps against furniture and door frames.
- Compact Lightweight Build: Makes the vacuum easier to carry, store and move around smaller homes.
- 6.5 m Cord: Provides extended cleaning reach before needing to change power points.
- Included Attachments: Upholstery nozzle, crevice nozzle and dusting brush add flexibility for furniture, corners and delicate surfaces.
Q: How often will the 1L bin need emptying with pets?
A: The 1L bin is convenient for quick empties, but pet hair and daily whole-home cleaning will fill it faster than a larger barrel vacuum. In a small or medium home it should be manageable. In a larger home, expect more frequent trips to the bin.
Q: Is this vacuum suitable for a large home layout?
A: Miele Boost CX1 Cat & Dog is better suited to small and medium homes than large layouts. The compact body is easy to store and steer, but the 1L bagless bin means longer cleaning sessions can involve more frequent emptying.
Q: Can it handle stairs, couches and car interiors easily?
A: Yes. The compact barrel design, light handling and included upholstery nozzle, crevice nozzle and dusting brush make it a practical choice for stairs, sofas and tight car spaces. The corded design still needs a nearby power point for longer jobs.
Q: What surfaces is the TurboBrush best used on?
A: The TurboBrush is best suited to carpets and upholstered furniture where pet hair tends to cling. It is the more targeted tool for soft surfaces, while general floor cleaning across hard floors and tiles is better handled with the main floor setup.
Q: Does TrackDrive make this easier to steer around furniture?
A: Yes. The TrackDrive wheel design helps the vacuum stay stable and follow more neatly through tighter spaces, which can reduce knocks on furniture and door frames. It improves handling, but it does not make the vacuum self-propelled or hands-free.
Q: Is 78dBA quiet enough for everyday indoor cleaning?
A: Miele Boost CX1 Cat & Dog runs at 78dBA, so it is noticeable in use rather than especially quiet. That level is typical for a powerful barrel vacuum, and most buyers should expect normal conversation to be harder while it is operating.
