Great for the Price.
Does a good job picking up dog hairs. I can vacuum the whole house without having to empty until I’ve finished. Would have like a hard floor brush so I will have to order seperate. Overall a good vacuum cleaner. I have only had it a short time.

Great vac
I am very happy with this vacuum cleaner it does a thorough job on my carpets and on my wooden floor and tiles. If I had any negative feedback it would be that it’s rather heavy but then I am older not as strong as I used to be. But I certainly am very happy with it.

At a glance
The Hoover Pet Pro Bagless Vacuum is a barrel vacuum built for pet-owning households that need strong cleaning across carpets, hard floors and upholstery. Its key strengths are powerful 2400W suction, a roomy 4L bagless bin, HEPA exhaust filtration and useful tools for stairs and car interiors. It is a solid mid-range option for mixed-surface homes, though it may feel less compact and lightweight than some premium barrel vacuums.
What it’s great for
- Pet hair pickup
- Whole-home cleaning
- Mixed floor cleaning
- Upholstery cleaning
- Stairs
- Car interior cleaning
Where it works best
- Pet-friendly homes
- Medium to large homes
- Mixed-surface households
- Carpeted living areas
- Hard floor spaces
Who it’s for
- Pet owners
- Families
- Mixed-floor households
- Dust-sensitive households
- Home users wanting longer cleaning runs
Things to consider
It offers strong general-purpose cleaning and pet-focused tools, but it may be less compact and less specialised than premium models designed for ultra-quiet operation or lighter portability.
Pet hair performance score
9/10 - Strong pet-hair focus with a turbo floorhead and high-powered suction for carpets, upholstery and mixed surfaces.
Large home suitability
8/10 - Well suited to larger cleans thanks to the 8m cord and 4L dust bin, though a barrel design may be less convenient than lighter premium options.
Carpet vs hard floor fit
Balanced for both carpets and hard floors, with variable speed control to better match different surface types.
Noise level rating
6/10 - Likely acceptable for a powerful barrel vacuum, but not positioned as a low-noise specialist model.
Portability rating
6/10 - Barrel design and accessory flexibility help with stairs and cars, but it is not the most compact or lightweight style.
Key benefits
- 2400w motor: Delivers strong cleaning power for deeper dirt removal across carpets and hard floors.
- 4l dust bin: Holds a larger amount of debris so you can clean longer before emptying.
- Turbo floorhead: Helps lift embedded dirt and pet hair more effectively from carpeted areas.
- Hepa exhaust filtration: Traps fine dust particles in the exhaust airflow, supporting cleaner air output.
- Cyclonic technology: Helps maintain more consistent suction as dust builds in the bin.
- Variable speed control: Lets you adjust suction power to better suit delicate rugs, hard floors and upholstery.
- 8m cord: Gives extended reach so you can cover larger rooms with fewer power point changes.
- Accessory set: Adds flexibility for cleaning stairs, furniture edges and car interiors.
Q: Is this vacuum hard to push on thick carpet?
A: It can feel firm to push on thick carpet when suction is set high. Variable speed control helps reduce drag, so you can lower the power for dense pile and turn it back up when you want a deeper cleaning pass.
Q: Can it replace a stick vacuum for deep carpet cleaning?
A: Yes, if carpet cleaning is the priority. Hoover FACBL25J uses a 2400W corded motor and turbo floorhead for sustained suction, but the barrel design is less compact and less convenient for quick grab-and-go jobs.
Q: Do I need a separate tool for hard floors?
A: Not necessarily. This model is designed for mixed floors and includes a floorhead that can be used across hard floors and carpet, but shoppers wanting a dedicated soft hard-floor brush may prefer to add one separately.
Q: Is the 4L dust bin enough for whole-house cleaning?
A: Yes, for many homes. Hoover FACBL25J has a 4L bagless bin, which suits longer cleaning sessions with fewer stops than smaller vacuums, though pet-heavy homes may still need an empty before every major clean.
Q: Are replacement parts available for the FACBL25J vacuum?
A: Yes. Replacement parts are available for FACBL25J, including a genuine Hoover hose assembly with the machine-end connection and hose handle. That matters if the hose wears out before the rest of the vacuum does.
Q: Does the exhaust filter help with fine dust around home?
A: Yes. Hoover FACBL25J uses HEPA exhaust filtration to trap fine dust particles in the vacuum's exhaust path. It is useful for containing dust while cleaning, but it does not turn the vacuum into a separate air purifier.
