Electrolux vacuum
Great vacuum, reliable, quiet and long lasting. We replaced the same model vacuum we purchased a number of years ago which got used daily with no issues until the motor died.

Excellent suction and a solid unit
Is a really solid unit, well made and non complicated. Maybe a few too many parts to put together and very mechanical but at the same time these are all good features. Definitely a great buy!

Things to consider
This model is better suited to general floor cleaning than specialist jobs, so homes with heavy pet shedding may prefer a vacuum with dedicated pet hair tools.
Pet hair performance score
4/10 - suitable for general cleaning, but it is not a pet-focused model and does not include dedicated pet hair tools.
Large home suitability
Well suited to larger homes thanks to its 12m cleaning reach and easy manoeuvrability across multiple rooms.
Carpet vs hard floor fit
Balanced for mixed flooring, with a combination nozzle and adjustable suction for both carpets and hard floors.
Noise level rating
6/10 - no low-noise claim is specified, so expect typical barrel vacuum operating noise.
Portability rating
8/10 - the 5.9kg body, XL rear wheels and multidirectional front wheel make it easy to move around the home.
Key benefits
- 1.6l bin capacity: Holds a practical amount of dust for routine household cleaning before needing to be emptied.
- 12m cleaning reach: Covers multiple rooms from one power point, reducing how often you need to unplug and move.
- 5.9kg body: Lightweight design makes it easier to carry, pull and move between rooms.
- Sealed 7-stage filtration with hepa 13 exhaust filter: Helps trap fine dust and allergens for cleaner exhaust air during vacuuming.
- Flowmotion combination nozzle: Adapts to hard floors, tiles and carpets for convenient everyday cleaning across mixed surfaces.
- Power level control: Lets you adjust suction to better suit delicate surfaces or deeper carpet cleaning.
- Xl rear wheels and multidirectional front wheel: Improves manoeuvrability when turning corners or moving between floor types.
- Controlled emptying system: Helps dispose of collected dust more cleanly with less mess.
Q: Is this vacuum good for pet hair in everyday homes?
A: Yes, for general household pet hair pickup. Electrolux PURE C9 Origin includes a combination floor nozzle and an upholstery tool, but it is not a pet-specific model and does not include a dedicated motorised pet tool for stubborn hair.
Q: Can it clean thick rugs as well as hard floors?
A: Yes, Electrolux PURE C9 Origin is built for hard floors, tiles and carpets, and the power control helps when moving from delicate surfaces to thicker rugs. It is a general household model, not a specialist deep-carpet vacuum for heavily embedded debris.
Q: Does the bagless bin empty cleanly with less dust spread?
A: Yes, the Electrolux PURE C9 Origin uses a controlled emptying system to help keep dust disposal neater than tipping out an open bin. It is still a bagless vacuum, so collected dust is exposed when you empty the 1.6L container.
Q: Does the sealed filtration help trap fine dust while vacuuming?
A: Yes, Electrolux PURE C9 Origin uses a fully sealed filtration system with an exhaust filter to help trap fine dust during cleaning. It is designed to reduce dust escaping back into the room, but it is still a vacuum, not an air purifier.
Q: What tools are included with the PURE C9 Origin vacuum?
A: Electrolux PURE C9 Origin includes 3 tools in 1, a dusting tool for hard surfaces, an upholstery tool for textiles, and a crevice tool for narrow spaces. That covers common detail cleaning jobs, but there is no dedicated pet tool in the box.
Q: Will I need to buy replacement vacuum bags?
A: No. Electrolux PURE C9 Origin is a bagless barrel vacuum, so dust collects in a removable bin instead of disposable bags. The trade-off is that you empty the bin yourself, rather than sealing dust away in a replacement bag.
