Dyson Gen5 detect Absolute
Very happy with this Vacuum cleaner. Powerful cleaning and easy to handle. Easy to empty. Does not take up much room to store . I have only brought Dyson vacuum cleaners for the last 20 + years and have never had a problem. My first Dyson is still going and has been passed to my daughter. Highly recommend to buy a Dyson.

DYSON did not say it was Incompatible with past models !
Having heaps of previous Dysons including attachments and a Metal Stand, I opted for the 'Absolute' thinking that I could use my existing stand. WRONG ! The Gen5 does not fit my V15 stand and thus I have been Forced to use their wall bracket on my previously unblemished wall. I asked Dyson for a discounted price on a Stand and after initially quoting $149 they dropped it to $119. Considering that the 'Complete' (which includes a Stand & attachments) was only $127 extra, that seemed a bit on the nose ! They also suggested returning it to The Good Guys for a refund and purchasing the 'Complete' from them but, I thought that would be Totally unfair to The Good Guys and so I declined. IF ONLY they had said that the Gen5 is not Compatible with the V15 stand, I would have gone straight for the 'Complete' and avoided all of this unnecessary frustration.

Amazing Vacuum. Best I have ever had.
The item is extremely easy to use and in conjunction with the side light on the head attachment actually indicates areas that have been missed. Also, the battery indicator is good which shows amount of time left to use and the unit does not have a trigger which is another added bonus. I would very highly recommend this unit and is well worth the money.

Not as good as expected
This unit is quite heavy in the hand and could probably be better balanced as you get a sore hand after only a few minutes. The big surprise about this unit, when using the standard rotating brush head is that it only picks up dust on the forward motion but does not pick up on the backward movement.

Could not be happier with the way this vacuum performs. It is, however, slightly to heavy but this is outwieghed byperformance. A great buy.
