Noise cancelling breaks and warranty worthless
Purchased in January. By early march started experience occasional “squeal” when on noise cancelling function. By June, noise cancelling function completely failed in the right ear, making either (or both) a thumping noise or a high pitched squeal, and the volume in the right ear was weak. I took them back to The Good Guys because the product was within the 12 month warranty. The Good Guys sent to Apple for their review on the warranty (apparently they own Beats). Apple informed The Good Guys it was not covered because “the mesh” wasn’t covered by Warranty. I was then told by The Good Guys they were sorry - did I want them back? (I said no). This is the second time I’ve bought a product by Beats. The first needed replacing twice (which at least the company I bought them from that time were honourable enough to do). I feel that both Apple / Beats and The Good Guys have shirked responsibility on what is an expensive product, and that the “Warranty” is worthless given the companies can simply tell you they don’t cover the fault. I would highly recommend you look elsewhere for your product and do not buy Beats.
