Affordable Washing Machine
For the price and functions it offers and for a family of four that does a lot of laundry through out the week this is probably an appliance option that is worth considering.

Amazing
I am so impressed of this washer due to how much of a deal it was. It is so easy to operate and handles thoroughly cleaning my duvets and blankets too. I’m so happy with this purchase as I have pets at home as well.

At a glance
A 10kg front load washer built for busy households that regularly wash bedding, towels and mixed family loads. It suits buyers who want strong capacity, useful program variety, app control and solid water and energy ratings in a shallower cabinet. Its main limitation is that it focuses on practical everyday washing rather than the quieter operation or premium fabric-care features found in higher-end models.

Things to consider
It offers strong everyday performance and convenience, but buyers seeking premium quietness, advanced auto-dosing or more specialised fabric-care systems may need to step up to a higher-end model.
Fabric care suitability score
7.5/10 - Good program variety including steam refresh supports everyday garment care, though it lacks the more specialised premium fabric-treatment features seen in higher tiers.
Water efficiency rating
8.5/10 - 4.5 Star WELS rating with 86L per wash cycle delivers strong water performance for a 10kg washer.
Family laundry fit
Excellent for medium to large households washing bedding, towels, mixed loads and everyday family laundry.
Noise level vs category average
About average for the category - suitable for general home use, but not specifically positioned as an ultra-quiet premium model.
Allergy suitability
Good - steam refresh may help with garment freshening, but it is not specifically positioned as a dedicated allergy-focused washer.
Key benefits
- 10kg Capacity: Handles large family loads, bedding and bulky towels in fewer wash cycles.
- Shallow Depth Design: Fits more neatly into laundries where floor space is limited.
- 14 Wash Programs: Gives flexible care options for everyday cottons, quick washes and varied fabric types.
- Steam Refresh Program: Helps freshen clothes between full washes and reduce the need for complete cycles on lightly worn items.
- 1500RPM Spin Speed: Removes more moisture at the end of the wash to help shorten drying time.
- 5 Star Energy Rating: Delivers strong energy performance with estimated annual energy consumption of 242kWh.
- 4.5 Star WELS Rating: Supports lower water use with 86L consumed per wash cycle.
- Wi-Fi Connectivity: Lets you monitor and control the washer remotely through the Hisense ConnectLife app.
Q: Can this 10kg washer handle doonas and bulky bedding?
A: Yes. The 10kg drum is sized for bulky household items such as towels and many doonas, so larger loads can be washed in one cycle. Check the care label first, and avoid packing the drum too tightly or wash results can drop.
Q: Is the quick wash meant for full loads or smaller ones?
A: No. The quick wash is better for smaller, lightly soiled loads when speed matters more than deep cleaning. For a full drum of everyday cottons or mixed laundry, a standard programme is the better fit.
Q: Is this washer cheaper to run than lower-star 10kg models?
A: Hisense HWF5I1015 has a 5 star energy rating and estimated annual energy use of 242kWh. A higher energy rating generally means lower running costs than other 10kg front load washers with a lower rating.
Q: Can I control the washer from my phone?
A: Yes. Hisense HWF5I1015 supports Wi-Fi control and monitoring through the ConnectLife app, so you can check or adjust a cycle remotely. You will need home Wi-Fi and the appliance must be set up in the app first.
Q: Does the 1500RPM spin leave clothes nearly dry?
A: No. A 1500RPM spin helps remove more water at the end of the wash, so loads usually spend less time in the dryer or on the line. Clothes still come out damp, and thicker items like towels can take longer to finish drying.
Q: Will the shallow design suit a tight laundry space?
A: Yes. This model is designed for laundries where front-to-back space is limited, which can make placement easier than deeper 10kg washers. Leave clearance for the door swing, hoses and airflow so daily use is not cramped.
Q: Can Steam Refresh replace a normal wash for worn clothes?
A: No. Steam Refresh is best for freshening worn-once items and easing light odours or creasing between washes. It is not a substitute for a full wash when clothing is dirty, stained or needs a proper rinse and spin.
