Smart Doorbells and Wireless Security Cameras have different strengths and limitations. Security Cameras provide a video feed with the option to record and save notable footage on devices or via cloud storage, but these features are less common for Doorbells. Cameras tend to have better night vision and use motion sensors whilst a Video Doorbell generally only provides alerts when someone presses the button. If you don’t want to have to recharge a Video Doorbell or swap out battery packs then consider a hardwired installation, with some models supporting hardwiring and rechargeable batteries.
