It's OK, but needs a lot of improvement
I replaced my Ring camera for this one as I didn't want to pay subscription anymore. Here are my comments: The Good: No subscription needed. Just popped in a micro SD card. Chime included is handy. Response time is good with not much lag. The not so good: Security wise, it is poor. You just need a paper clip to unclip it from the mount. This makes it easy to steal. The Ring had two security screws. Not perfect but much better than this. The SD card is not protected at all. Anyone can just come up and take it out. This was unacceptable to me, so I 3D printed a housing with a separate top which is screwed via a security screw. The picture is OK. Even though it says it is 2K, I find it the same quality as my previous Ring, which was standard HD. The app keeps telling me there is no SD card. This is annoying, because it obviously does have one and I can view my recordings. The app has a thin vertical line for a recording timeline. You can zoom in on it a bit, but it's super hard to find a spot in a recording. Its quite bulky. Not as slim and sleek as the Ring. Not a big fan of the black and white style. All black would be better. Finally, and the most annoying, this camera advertises itself to last 6 months on a battery charge. My camera is using about 3% per day, so at this rate, it will only last a month. My Ring lasted 3-4 months with the same zones and sensitivity. If this is the case, I will consider returning the product. Charging every month is ridiculous.
