Whether I'm tackling fine dust on hardwood floors or pulling pet hair out of the carpets, the suction power is consistent. It picks up dirt that my old upright used to leave behind. Versatility: Switching between the stick mode and the handheld configuration is seamless, making it great for cleaning the car or reaching those annoying cobwebs in the corners. The "point and shoot" bin emptying mechanism is a lifesaver—no more digging out dust with your fingers. The reason this isn't a perfect 5-star review comes down to the battery life. While the suction is powerful, it draws a lot of energy. I can usually get through my main living areas without an issue. However, if you switch it to MAX mode for a deep carpet clean, the runtime drops significantly—often lasting only about 7 to 10 minutes. If you have a larger home, you’ll find yourself having to charge between areas Final Verdict The Dyson V8 Origin is a beast when it comes to raw cleaning power. It feels premium, handles like a dream, and leaves floors spotless. If you live in an apartment or a medium-sized home, it’s a fantastic investment. Just be prepared to manage your time (or your power settings) if you’re planning a marathon cleaning session. I would like to compare the V8’s specs against the newer V10 or V12 models to see if the battery life holds up for the extra cost but for now this will do the trick.
