At a glance
The Solt 10kg Top Load Washer is a large-capacity washer designed for busy households that regularly wash towels, bedding and family loads. Its strengths are the roomy 10kg drum, simple controls, useful cycle variety and practical safety features. PULSE+ Technology and autosensing help tailor each wash, but the 800 RPM spin speed is more modest than some premium models.

Things to consider
Its 800 RPM maximum spin speed is lower than some premium top loaders, so heavily soaked loads may come out wetter and take longer to dry.
Large family suitability
9/10 - 10kg capacity is well suited to larger households with frequent, bulky washing.
Quick wash performance score
7/10 - includes a Quick Wash programme for fast everyday loads, though spin speed is a modest 800 RPM.
Laundry space fit
Best for homes needing a full-size top loader with enough room to open the lid from above.
Water efficiency vs category
6/10 - 3.5 star WELS rating and 122 L per wash are reasonable for a 10kg top loader, but not class-leading.
Key benefits
- 10kg Capacity: Handles large loads like bedding, towels and family washing in fewer cycles.
- 10 Wash Programmes: Gives you flexible cycle choices for everything from delicates to bulky items.
- Delay Start: Lets you schedule washes to better match your daily routine.
- LED Display With Button Controls: Makes programme selection straightforward and easy to follow.
- PULSE+ Technology: Helps deliver a thorough wash action for everyday clothing and household loads.
- Autosensing Engineering: Adjusts the wash to the load for more tailored cycle operation.
- 4.5 Star Energy Rating: Offers stronger washing energy performance than lower-rated alternatives.
- Child Lock: Adds peace of mind by helping prevent accidental setting changes during use.
Q: Can it wash bulky bedding and towels in one load?
A: Yes. The Solt 10kg Top Load Washer has the capacity and a Bulky program suited to larger household loads such as towels and bedding. Very dense or oversized items still need room to move freely, so avoid packing the drum tightly.
Q: How dry will clothes feel after the 800RPM spin?
A: Solt GGSTLW10RCW spins at 800RPM, which helps remove water before drying or hanging. It will not extract moisture as aggressively as a faster-spin washer, so heavier fabrics can come out wetter and may take longer on the line.
Q: Does this washer restart after a brief power outage?
A: Yes. Solt GGSTLW10RCW includes memory for interrupted power supply, so it can retain the cycle setting after a power cut. That is useful if the outage is brief, but the machine still needs power restored before washing can continue.
Q: Can the Solt top loader measure each load automatically?
A: Yes. Solt GGSTLW10RCW uses Autosensing Engineering to adjust the wash to the load instead of relying on one fixed pattern. That is useful for smaller or mixed loads, but it is not the same as automatic detergent dosing.
Q: Is there a quick wash cycle for light loads?
A: Yes. Solt GGSTLW10RCW includes a Quick Wash program for smaller, lightly soiled loads when a full standard cycle is not necessary. It is designed for convenience rather than heavy-duty cleaning, so tougher stains may need a different program.
Q: Does this model have Wi-Fi or app control?
A: No. Solt GGSTLW10RCW is not Wi-Fi enabled, so cycle control and status checks are done on the machine itself. The LED display and button controls keep operation straightforward, but there is no companion app or remote start.
Q: Will I need to measure detergent myself each wash?
A: Yes. Solt GGSTLW10RCW does not have auto dosing, so detergent is added manually for each load. That gives flexibility if you change products or soil levels, but the machine does not measure detergent amounts for you.
