Product fine , delivery and online service terrible
The fridge is great . It was delivered earlier than arrange when my elderly mother was at home alone . The colour was wrong and the delivery guys didn’t take the old fridge away as paid for. Their reason was because it has ice in the freezer. It took me two minutes to remove the offending ice when I arrived. They kindly left the old fridge in the middle of her back lawn. When I rang to complain the agent said it was my fault the wrong colour was delivered after initially refusing to talk to me because I used my mum’s name for the delivery address. I’ve bought many things from the Good Guys and will continue to do so but only face to face, no more online orders for me.

Never again
Delivery was severely delayed: initial indication was a week, it took six. No communication about the delay unless I asked. And several times I tried to get a response and there was none. Will never order from you again.

Average Performer
It does What is it suppose to do. It is average build product and nothing fancy or space saving. Its Energy rating is also something you should be aware of.

At a glance
The Hisense 205L Top Mount Refrigerator is a compact everyday fridge for small households, apartments, or as a second fridge. Its key strengths are Total No Frost, even cooling with Multi Airflow, and flexible internal storage with adjustable shelves and a large crisper. A fair limitation is its modest capacity, which may feel tight for larger families or bulk shoppers.

Apartment suitability score
9/10 - compact 205L size and practical layout suit apartments, units, and tighter kitchen spaces well.
Family size fit
Best for 1-2 people; suitable as a second fridge for larger households
Energy efficiency rating
4.5 stars
Fresh food storage flexibility
Good - adjustable shelves and a large crisper support flexible storage for produce, drinks, and everyday groceries.
Key benefits
- 205l capacity: Gives small households practical day-to-day storage without taking up as much room as a larger fridge.
- 153l fridge compartment: Provides the majority of space for fresh groceries, drinks, and ready-to-eat items used most often.
- 52l freezer compartment: Offers dedicated freezer space for frozen meals, ice, and everyday essentials in a compact layout.
- Total no frost: Prevents ice build-up in both compartments, so you do not need to manually defrost the fridge.
- Multi airflow: Helps distribute cold air more evenly across shelves for more consistent cooling.
- Adjustable shelves: Makes it easier to fit taller bottles, larger containers, and changing grocery loads.
- Large crisper drawer: Gives fresh fruit and vegetables a dedicated space to help keep them organised.
- 4.5 star energy rating: Offers strong energy performance for its size under the Australian Energy Rating system.
Q: Is this fridge large enough for one or two people?
A: Yes. The Hisense HRTF206S has 205L of total capacity, which suits everyday groceries for one or two people in most homes. It can also work for a small family, but the space may feel tight if you buy in bulk or need extra freezer room.
Q: How much freezer space do you actually get in this fridge?
A: The freezer section gives you 52L of space. That is practical for everyday frozen staples, ice and a few prepared meals, but it is not aimed at heavy bulk freezing, so larger households may outgrow the freezer first.
Q: Can the shelves be moved to fit taller bottles and larger items?
A: Yes. This model has adjustable shelves, so you can rework the fridge layout for taller bottles, larger containers or party platters. In a compact fridge, changing shelf positions usually means giving up some stacking space elsewhere.
Q: Does Total No Frost prevent ice build-up in both compartments?
A: Yes. Hisense HRTF206S uses Total No Frost to circulate cold air through the fridge and freezer, so ice build-up is prevented in normal use. That removes routine manual defrosting, but good door sealing still matters for best performance.
Q: What does the 4.5 star energy rating mean in practice?
A: Hisense HRTF206S has a 4.5 star energy rating. For a compact top mount fridge, a higher star rating generally means lower running costs than a similar 205L fridge with a lower rating, though actual use depends on room temperature and door openings.
