Shark Vaccum
The product is really good, have been using it for quiet some time. Feature like power detect and auto empty are great. The actual battery time recommended of 75mins by the Company of 75mins is not correct. The battery does not last that long.

Love the shark
We have found the Shark to be much more reliable than our previous brand. The auto adjustable speed based.on surface, auto empty function, solit handle for under sofas etc are all great features.

Excellent
Great product, Little expensive but better than other famous brand such as Dyson. Does the job, Bending of the vacuum is a significant feature in this vacuum. Teenagers love this and always want to vacuum the house. A wise decision i made.

This machine is great!
I’ve tried a few stick vacuums before this one, but I have found this has the best suction by far. I love that it automatically adapts to different floor types, making it really easy to use throughout the house. It’s perfect for quick everyday cleans, especially for picking up all the dog hair, but it’s also more than capable of doing a more thorough clean when needed. The auto-empty feature is fantastic and makes cleaning up so much easier. I also really like the odour-eliminating puck, which helps keep the vacuum smelling fresh. Overall, I’m really impressed with it and would definitely recommend it, especially if you have pets! 🐶🧹

The bees knees in vacuums but is quite heavy
This vacuum is amazing and has great features including the clean and empty function and battery power. I was surprised though how heavy the unit is which might be difficult for some older generations. Overall very happy I invested in a decent vacuum that identifies different floor surfaces and adjusts automatically.

At a glance
This cordless stick vacuum is a practical mid-range choice for homes with both carpet and hard floors, especially if pet hair and everyday dust are common. Its key strengths are up to 70 minutes of runtime, automatic dust emptying and strong floor coverage with the DuoClean Detect nozzle. The main limitation is that it is not the lightest option for long above-floor cleaning sessions.

Things to consider
At 3.6 kg, it is easy to manoeuvre for general floor cleaning but may feel heavier than lighter premium stick vacuums during longer handheld or above-floor tasks.
Pet hair performance score
8/10 - well suited to homes with pet hair, with a dedicated pet tool and floorhead designed for regular debris pickup.
Carpet vs hard floor suitability
Well balanced for both carpet and hard floors, especially in homes with a mix of surfaces.
Portability rating
7/10 - cordless and manoeuvrable for everyday use, though 3.6 kg is not ultra-light for extended handheld cleaning.
Noise level vs category average
About average for a cordless stick vacuum with an auto-empty system.
Allergy friendliness
8/10 - HEPA filtration and the auto-empty station help reduce dust exposure during cleaning and bin emptying.
Key benefits
- Up to 70-Minute Runtime: Long battery life helps cover larger cleaning sessions on a single charge.
- Clean and Empty Station: Automatically empties the vacuum to reduce direct contact with dust during maintenance.
- DuoClean Detect Nozzle: Picks up debris on both forward and reverse passes for more thorough everyday floor cleaning.
- Mixed Floor Capability: Works across hard floors and carpets, making it suitable for homes with varied surfaces.
- Bagless Design: Removes the need to buy replacement dust bags for routine use.
- HEPA Filtration: Helps trap fine dust for cleaner exhaust air during vacuuming.
- Washable Foam and Felt Filters: Reusable filters help simplify ongoing maintenance.
- Included Crevice and Pet Tools: Extra tools improve cleaning in tight spaces and on pet-hair-prone surfaces.
Q: Does it vacuum and mop at the same time?
A: No. Shark IP3251ANZ is a dry vacuum for hard floors and carpet, not a mop or wet cleaner. It suits dust, crumbs and pet hair, but sticky spills and other wet messes still need a separate cleaning solution.
Q: Will one charge cover a full house clean?
A: For many homes, yes. Shark IP3251ANZ is designed for whole-home cordless cleaning rather than quick spot use only. Runtime still varies with floor mix and how often stronger suction is needed across carpet, edges and heavier debris.
Q: Is this vacuum good for very thick carpet?
A: It is better matched to hard floors and standard carpet than very thick, high-pile carpet. PowerDetect adjusts to different floor types, but dense pile can still be harder to push through than lower or tighter carpet.
Q: Does the Clean & Empty Station mean less bin contact?
A: Yes. The Clean & Empty Station handles routine bin emptying automatically, so there is less direct contact with dust during day-to-day use. The vacuum still needs occasional bin and filter maintenance, so it is not a fully hands-off system.
Q: Is 3.6kg manageable for stairs and everyday cleaning?
A: Shark IP3251ANZ weighs 3.6kg, which is manageable for routine room-to-room cleaning and carrying between levels for many buyers. It is still a full stick vacuum, so longer sessions or overhead cleaning can feel heavier than a small handheld.
Q: Which attachments come with the Shark PowerDetect stick vacuum?
A: Shark IP3251ANZ comes with a DuoClean Detect floor nozzle, a crevice tool and a pet hair tool. That setup covers everyday floors, edges and tighter spots, but it is still intended for dry debris rather than wet spills.
