Quiet and convenient!
The kettle is one of the quietest we’ve ever used! It boils water quickly and touch button to control the temperature at your finger tip. Another advantage is the double layer body keeps the heat and safe to touch even its boiling hot inside. The only down side is the water level mark is one at one side at the inner wall, it would be good to have marks at two sides.

Great tech and slick look.
Really happy with my purchase so far. Has a great look and the temperature control and monitor function is very handy. Hoping it lasts. From a design perspective my only critique would be: I wish there was a way to see the water level without opening it.

Excellent product with all stainless steel inside and the inside of the lid.
Good product. Water temperature can be set to specific temperature, which is a good feature when you want to drink warm water in the winter. All stainless steel inside is another important factor to minimise the plastic contamination.

Highly featured kettle at budget price
+1. Double wall insulation - saves energy, keeps your water hot, protects from touch burns. The insulation also reduces the noise when the water boils. +2. Stainless jug and cover - some other brands advertising stainless steel kettles have plastic lid internally, this Philips has a stainless steel face on the internal lid face. +3. Real time temperature monitoring and control - it constantly tells you the temperature of the water and you can see it rising as it is heating up. A polite chime tells you when it has reached the set temperature. -1. Full Stainless steel body means no plastic window to see the water level. You'll have to lift the lid to see whats inside or try to estimate by weight! -2. There is a small silicone grommet at the base for the thermostat probe. -3. Only one colour option.

Common defect with this series, Returned after a few weeks
A consistent issue I had was about one in five times when boiling, the kettle will shut off when it reaches 35 - 40 degrees. There is an audible click when it happens. I have to go restart the boil again. After a quick google search, this seem to be a fairly common issue with many others reporting the same problem across varies websites.
