  WARNING: DON'T BUY WXLC-1016G unless you want wrinkled clothes when using the drying function

  The software keeps the door locked for about 5 mins after any dry cycle, which means that your close will ALWAYS be wrinkled. There is a cooling down function that spins for 5 seconds every 20 seconds, but this is not good enough. Even letting clothes sit for 20 seconds after drying wrinkles it, so not sure why they can't just keep it spinning continiously during the cooling down cycle. I contacted support and they confirmed that there is no way not to wait 5 minutes after drying before you can open the door. This is a very simple software (firmware update) fix: update the software to keep on spinning for the 5 minutes that it cools down for safety reasons, or until I open the door after more than 5 minutes, that way it will resolve this issue. Basically after drying it should continiously spin for 5 mins - until I stop it and take out the clothes. If I knew that they keep the door locked for even 20 seconds without turning the clothes, I could never have bought the unit. Makes no sense. Another few issues: - The drying options don't allow you to choose the temp high or low AND the time, only the time OR low, but then it dries the clothes all the way. - Even tried selecting the IRON mode which is supposed to leave it a little damp for ironing, didn't work, came out dry again, so there is no way to dry your clothes on low for a certain amount of time and take it out while it is still a little damp on low drying heat. Really seems like the software wasn't thought through, because the functions are there, but the software doesn't allow you to do these things, hopefully LG can add more robust functions and flexibility for this unit in future firmware releases (hopefully soon). One other small annoying thing is that when you have custom cycles, you can't even rename them, no idea why, seems like an oversight. There is no way to dry clothes with this unit without things like shirts being wrinkled at the moment, so be warned. Hope this helps anyone thinking of buying this machine. This unit is useless, I bought a Washer Dryer Combo, but can only use it as a washer, because drying the clothes and waiting 5 minutes for the door to open without the machine drum turning continiously to avoid wrinkles, will leave clothes wrinkled EVERY TIME.

  I'm starting to hate it!

  First of all id like to say we live rural on a farm with water tanks. We also have 6 malamute dogs and 3 kids. Things get dirty! Lo e the big drum and the washing capacity but after washing a few blankets it has problems draining and I have to empty filter every time I use it. That means draining the water in the machine EACH TIME 😮‍💨. If you used the dryer you have to do the same thing.... now after doing this each use I'm now getting a water supply issue not sure why as nothing has changed. One load will take all day due to all the errors. It has a powerful spin and thats great if you dont live in a house on stilts. I now have to purchase vibration pads to stop the whole house from shaking. Pros is it has lots of washing options. Im just over the complications.

  I do like the idea of a combo washer and dryer. It’s easy to use I like the app reminders One thing I am not liking is that the cycles can take long. I can’t find an express dry or wash.
