Gives good results
I like buying the XL of these as it gives me more than double the prints of the ordinary ones. I like to be sure and have extras on hand so I never run out during a printing session.

Nothing to say as it is only the ink for the printer. However disappointed as your shop was closed during Covid and I received my concierge and then couldnt redeem it when shop opened.

Ideal for users who print frequently, it delivers crisp, vibrant colour and black prints while reducing the need for frequent replacements. It’s a strong value choice for home and small office use, though it may not suit those needing ultra-high page yields for heavy-duty business printing.

Printer compatibility assessment
8/10 - Compatible with a range of popular Canon Pixma models, but not universal across all Canon printers.

Key benefits
- XL Capacity Cartridges: Fewer cartridge changes compared to standard size, saving time and effort.
- Vivid Colour Output: Produces sharp, vibrant prints suitable for both documents and photos.
- Genuine Canon Quality: Ensures reliable performance and minimises risk of printer issues.
- Easy Installation: Cartridges are simple to replace, reducing downtime.
- Multipack Convenience: All key colours included in one pack for hassle-free restocking.
- Consistent Results: Maintains print quality throughout the cartridge’s lifespan.
- Cost-Effective Printing: XL size offers better value per page than standard cartridges.
Q: Does the Canon CLI651 XL Value Pack include every cartridge needed for compatible Pixma printers?
A: No. This pack includes four CLI-651XL cartridges, black, cyan, magenta and yellow, but many compatible Pixma models also use a separate PGI-650 or PGI-650XL pigment black. Some 6-ink models may also require an additional grey cartridge.
Q: What does XL mean on the Canon CLI-651XL cartridges in this pack?
A: XL means these are higher-yield cartridges than standard CLI-651 versions, so they are better suited to frequent colour or photo printing. Canon does not list page yields here, so exact output will still vary with image coverage and print settings.
Q: Is the black cartridge in this pack the same black used for plain-paper text printing?
A: No. The included CLI-651XL black is a dye-based ink typically used for photos and colour work on compatible Pixma printers. Many of those printers also rely on a separate PGI-650 series pigment black cartridge for sharper plain-paper document text.
Q: Is this value pack suitable for photo printing on compatible Canon Pixma printers?
A: Yes. Canon states the CLI-651 ink range is designed to deliver improved colour, a wider colour gamut and better colour fastness, which makes it well suited to photo printing. Best results are achieved when paired with genuine Canon photo paper.
Q: Will this pack work with both 5-ink and 6-ink Canon Pixma models in the CLI-651 range?
A: Yes, it can suit both, provided the printer uses CLI-651XL colour cartridges. The key limitation is completeness, because 5-ink models often also need PGI-650 black, while 6-ink models may need an extra grey cartridge that is not included here.
