Good for Car Vacuum
This vacuum is good for the car interior cleaning. However, suction could have been better for this price.

Worst Experience - Battery Life is Terrible
I bought the B&D 10.8Wh Lithium-ion Dustbuster Cordless Hand Vacuum and honestly, it’s been the worst experience. The battery drains in no time, making it practically useless. Even after charging for 3–4 hours, it never fully charges, and if left idle, the battery drains completely. This defeats the purpose of having a cordless vacuum because you can’t rely on it when you need it. Very disappointed with the performance and would not recommend this product to anyone.

At a glance
The BLACK & DECKER Dustbuster is a lightweight cordless handheld vacuum designed for quick pickups of dust, crumbs and dry dirt around the home, car or caravan. It suits households wanting a simple secondary vacuum for spot cleaning and tight spaces. Key strengths are its portability, wall-mount storage and included crevice tool. The main limitation is its short 10-minute runtime for larger jobs.

Things to consider
With up to 10 minutes of runtime and a 0.39 L bin, it is better for short spot cleans than deeper or whole-car cleaning compared with larger handheld or premium models.
Pet hair performance score
4/10 - suitable for light loose hair, but it is not a pet-specific model and does not include a specialised pet tool.
Car cleaning suitability
8/10 - strong fit for footwells, seats and tight gaps thanks to the cordless design and crevice tool, but runtime is best for shorter sessions.
Portability rating
9/10 - lightweight cordless design makes it easy to carry and use around the home, car or caravan.
Battery endurance rating
5/10 - up to 10 minutes of runtime is practical for quick jobs, though limited for extended cleaning.
Ease of emptying
8/10 - bagless 0.39 L bin is straightforward for routine emptying after small cleanups.
Key benefits
- Cordless design: Makes it easy to clean stairs, cars and small messes without being restricted by a power cord.
- Lithium-ion battery: Delivers up to 10 minutes of runtime for fast pickups between full cleans.
- 0.39 L bagless bin: Holds enough for several small dry messes before needing to be emptied.
- Crevice tool included: Helps reach corners, footwells and narrow gaps more easily.
- Lightweight handheld format: More comfortable for frequent spot cleaning on benches, upholstery and shelves.
- Wall-mountable charge base: Keeps the vacuum stored neatly and ready for the next quick cleanup.
- Bagless operation: Lets you empty collected dust and crumbs without buying replacement bags.
- Dry dirt pickup focus: Well suited to everyday crumbs, dust and light debris on small surfaces.
Q: Can this handheld vacuum replace a full-size vacuum at home?
A: No. BLACK & DECKER NVC215W-XE is better as a secondary vacuum for quick crumbs, dust and small dry messes. Its handheld format, 0.39L bin and 10-minute runtime suit spot cleaning rather than full-room or whole-home vacuuming.
Q: Will it pick up wet spills or only dry dirt?
A: It is for dry mess only. BLACK & DECKER NVC215W-XE is designed to lift dust, crumbs and dry dirt from small surfaces and tight spaces, so it is not suitable for wet spills or wet and dry cleaning jobs.
Q: Does the battery last long enough for a full car clean?
A: For most buyers, it is better for quick car touch-ups than a full deep clean. BLACK & DECKER NVC215W-XE runs for 10 minutes per charge, which suits seats, footwells and tight gaps, but larger interiors may need to be cleaned in stages.
Q: How is the BLACK & DECKER NVC215W-XE stored and charged?
A: BLACK & DECKER NVC215W-XE includes a charge base that also works as a wall mount. That makes it easier to keep the vacuum parked in one spot between uses, and a full recharge takes 10 hours, so overnight charging is the practical routine.
Q: What tools come with this Dustbuster for tight spaces?
A: This model comes with a crevice tool and a charge base or wall mount. The crevice tool is the main accessory for corners, seat edges and footwells, but there are no extra cleaning heads included for broader or specialised tasks.
Q: How much cleaning can the bin handle before emptying?
A: BLACK & DECKER NVC215W-XE has a 0.39L bagless bin, which is enough for several small clean-up jobs before it needs emptying. It suits crumbs, dust and light debris, but it will fill faster if the mess is heavier or spread across a larger area.
