Easy to use
I have spent a fortune over the years getting cleaning companies in to clean spot on my carpet and lounge suite. The current economic situation saw me trying to clean a coffee spill on my carpet. It didn’t work. I was in the Good Guys and saw the Bussel cleaner. One of the best things I have bought. I’ve been going crazy cleaning multiple coffeee and pet stains. It even get the cat fur out. Impressive.

Not all it cracked up to be
I am a little disappointed with this purchase. I went to the Steam Option as I want that feature to clean the grout on my floor tiles. It doesn't do a great job and the attachments are just plastic. (I fear that they won't last long) Really not overly impressed waited for along time to buy. It is an overpriced leaking mob bucket.

Its HydroSteam technology tackles stubborn stains and sticky messes with ease, making it suitable for quick spot cleaning on a variety of surfaces. While highly effective for targeted cleaning, it is less suited for large, whole-room carpet cleaning compared to full-size machines.

Q: Is the Bissell SpotClean HydroSteam suitable for car interiors?
A: Yes. It is listed for auto interiors as well as carpets, rugs and upholstery, so it suits fabric seats, mats and boot carpet. It is still a spot cleaner, which makes it better for spills and marked areas than a whole-cabin deep clean.
Q: What does HydroSteam do on the Bissell SpotClean HydroSteam?
A: HydroSteam is designed to help loosen tough, sticky and stuck-on messes before extraction, rather than relying on spray and suction alone. That gives this model an edge on spills and traffic marks, but it is still intended for localised cleaning.
Q: Is the Bissell SpotClean HydroSteam a full carpet cleaner?
A: No. The 3689F is a portable spot cleaner for targeted jobs on carpet, rugs, upholstery and car interiors. It is a better fit for stairs, couches and accidental spills than cleaning wall-to-wall carpet across multiple rooms.
Q: Can I use CrossWave or regular floor cleaning solution in the SpotClean HydroSteam?
A: No. This machine should be used with cleaning formulas intended for Bissell carpet or spot cleaners, not general floor liquids. Using the wrong solution can create excess foam or residue, which can reduce pickup and cleaning results.
Q: Does the 1100W rating mean the SpotClean HydroSteam has stronger suction than other spot cleaners?
A: Not by itself. The 1100W figure is the machine's power draw, and cleaning performance also depends on heat, solution, tool design and how many passes are needed. It points to a mains-powered cleaner, not a direct suction ranking.
