Best Easter Recipes For Kids
February 1, 2024-5 min read
Searching for Easter activities for kids? Cooking is always a holiday entertainment winner, so set the steam mop and stick vac on charge (because making a mess is part of the fun!) and get into these easy Easter baking recipes for kids.
We know little hands need a little help, so call on a cavalry of small appliances – think foolproof dessert machines and the extra muscle of a stand mixer – then crank up the oven for supervised fun in the kitchen. We even have tips to make the clean-up exciting for kids!
Here’s our checklist for a successful mini-chef session this Easter.
When Is Easter 2024?
Good Friday falls on March 29 and Easter Sunday (chocolate day!) is on March 31. That’s plenty of time to start planning your Easter feast or seafood BBQ and get some practice in with the kids for all the tastiest Easter dessert recipes.
Get Organised In The Kitchen
Cooking with kids calls for two cups of patience and a large serving of kitchen organisation. Get everything you need out first, so you’re not digging in the cupboards while Grade 1 maths is being applied to critical measurements.
You also need the right tools for the job. Stand mixers and hand mixers give little chefs the chance to be involved, with the confidence that all ingredients will be properly blended, and tiny fingers will be kept safe.

Keeping Kids Safe In The Kitchen
When kids are in the kitchen, safety is key. The latest ovens with cool-touch glass are a modern safety must-have; or make use of an auto turn-off function in case you get distracted by a meltdown over who gets to lick the spoon first. Looking to upgrade to take advantage of these next-gen oven safety features? Why not take advantage of time- and energy-saving functions while you’re at it! Have you heard about the oven that cleans itself?!
“Pyrolytic ovens sound almost too good to be true, but their self-clean setting is a baker's best friend,” says Tania Grillinzoni, The Good Guys Buyer – Cooking and Dishwashers. “These ovens use superhigh heat to turn any spills or mixture overflow into ash, which means they will only ever need a quick wipe-down once they’re cool.”
