At a glance
The Tefal Easy Rice & Slow Cooker is a 1.8 L multicooker designed for households that want rice cooking, slow cooking and steaming in one appliance. It suits families and busy home cooks thanks to its 8 programs, removable steam basket and dishwasher-safe parts. Fuzzy Logic cooking helps simplify results for everyday meals. Its main limitation is that it is better for general home use than for cooks wanting advanced premium custom settings.

Key benefits
- 1.8 L Capacity: Makes family-size portions and can cook up to 10 cups of rice for everyday meals.
- 8 Menu Programs: Gives you dedicated settings for rice, porridge, soup, stews, steaming, quick cooking, reheating and keeping food warm.
- Removable Steam Basket: Lets you steam vegetables or side dishes while food cooks below for easier one-appliance meal prep.
- Fuzzy Logic Cooking: Automatically adjusts timing and temperature during cooking to help deliver more consistent results.
- 4 Layer Aluminium Inner Pot: Supports even cooking and the non-stick coating helps food release more easily.
- Keep Warm Function: Keeps meals ready to serve for up to 12 hours, which is useful for busy schedules.
- Slow Cook Timer: Allows slow cooking for up to 8 hours for stews and longer-cooked dishes.
- Dishwasher-Safe Accessories: The cooking bowl and accessories are dishwasher safe, making cleanup simpler after daily use.
Q: Is the 10 cup capacity enough for family meals?
A: Yes. The RK732 has a 1.8L cooking capacity and is sized for regular shared meals in a small to medium household. It suits everyday rice, soups and stews, but it is not the right pick for very large batch cooking.
Q: Can I steam vegetables while the rice cooks below?
A: Yes. The removable steam basket lets this cooker steam vegetables or simple side dishes while rice cooks in the bowl underneath. It is convenient for one-pot meals, but the basket does not run on a separate program or timer.
Q: Does this cooker have a delay start timer?
A: No. RK732 lists a slow cook timer for up to 8 hours and a keep warm function for up to 12 hours, but not a delay start program. If you want cooking to begin later, you will need to start the cycle manually.
Q: Is the slow cook setting suitable for all day meals?
A: It suits many slow-cooked meals, but the timer is designed for up to 8 hours on the slow cook setting. That covers plenty of stews, soups and similar dishes, though very long unattended cooking schedules may need a different appliance.
Q: Are the bowl and included accessories dishwasher safe?
A: Yes. The cooking bowl and accessories are dishwasher safe, which makes routine cleanup easier after rice, soup or stew. The inner pot also has a non-stick coating to help food release more easily, especially on sticky dishes.
Q: What can the eight programs actually cook besides rice?
A: RK732 can cook brown rice, porridge, soup, stews, steamed dishes and reheated meals, not just white rice. It gives more flexibility than a basic rice-only cooker, but it focuses on preset programs rather than detailed manual control.
