WiFi needed
Great sound when you get it set up. It must have an app that will only operate with WiFi. It doesn't connect as a Bluetooth.

Sonos Roam
Great sound in a small to medium room. I'm not tech savvy but found it easy to set up. I liked the WiFi and Bluetooth as not all portable speakers have both options. Happy with my purchase :)

Excellent sound, compact, neat. Only negative is tendency to go offline after casting from non Sonos source and need to reset to connect.

Amazing sound from such a small speaker. Very impressed with the rounded and well balanced sound if you like soulful music. The sound quality of the Sonos Roam is really really good. It works over AirPlay or BLuetooth nicely.

Good but not as good as I hoped
Battery is pretty poor and when I stream sound from my tv (instead of using the tv speakers) it is often broken and drops in and out.
