We had the boom 3 and upgraded to the boom 4, love the smaller more compact version of the two and has the same boom!!!

A STEP UP FROM THE BOOM 3
I purchased a BOOM 3 about 18 months ago and am extremely happy with the quality of sound it produced. It was recently confiscated by my partner for her personal use, so I had no other alternative other than to purchase the latest BOOM 4 I am gobsmacked at the sound the BOOM 4 delivers as compared to the BOOM 3. The upgraded speakers they have used are superior to previous models giving clearer response and a much better bass response which I love. "It's all about the bass". There are others on the market which do have a higher output, but are larger and more cumbersome than the BOOM 4. Therefore that is why I choose to stick with the BOOM 4 which creates an awesome sound output, is very portable, waterproof, user friendly and can be connected together with any other BOOM's via the app to create a bigger output and stereo at that. I am so happy that my BOOM 3 was confiscated and I needed to buy the BOOM 4 because I now have a more superior sounding device and someone is very jealous. Do yourself a favour and grab one of these BOOM 4's as you definitely won't be disappointed. I thoroughly recommend the new BOOM 4.

Awesome sound and very versatile.
Really happy with this purchase for my daughter, for such a little device it packs a punch. I didn't realise I could link this up with my other smaller UE Boom for a surround sound effect. Certainly would recommend to anyone wanting great sound, the ability to bring with you on the go (to work, holiday, beach) and only a fraction of the cost. Great speaker!
