Highly efficient and quiet
Very happy with our purchase Just make sure that you have right order code for different coloured rangehood. That was our only problem. We thought we were getting the black in this model. However stainless steel arrived.

At a glance
This 90cm canopy rangehood is a strong choice for larger home kitchens that need powerful ducted extraction without as much in-room motor noise. It suits households that cook often, especially in open-plan spaces, and offers simple touch controls, bright lighting and easy-clean mesh filtration. The main limitation is that it is ducted only, so it is not suited to homes needing a recirculating setup.

Things to consider
This model is ducted only, so it will not suit installations where external venting is not possible or where a recirculating option is preferred.
Large kitchen suitability
9/10 - 90cm coverage and 1600m3/hr ducted extraction make it well suited to larger kitchens and open-plan spaces.
Noise level vs category average
8/10 - the silent external motor is designed to reduce in-kitchen noise compared with many standard canopy rangehoods.
Odour removal performance
9/10 - strong 1600m3/hr ducted extraction helps remove smoke, steam and lingering cooking odours effectively.
Ease of cleaning
8/10 - the aluminium mesh filter is removable for cleaning, supporting easier routine maintenance.
Key benefits
- 1600m3/hr Extraction: High airflow helps clear smoke, steam and cooking odours quickly in larger kitchens.
- Silent External Motor: Moves motor noise away from the cooking zone for a quieter kitchen experience.
- 90cm Canopy Width: Provides better coverage for wider cooktops and suits spacious cooking areas.
- Five Fan Speeds: Lets you match extraction strength to light simmering or heavier frying.
- Touch Controls: Makes speed and lighting adjustments quick and straightforward during cooking.
- 4 x 1.5W LED Lights: Bright cooktop lighting improves visibility while preparing meals.
- Aluminium Mesh Filter: Removable filter design makes routine cleaning more convenient.
- 15-Minute Auto Shut-Off Timer: Keeps extracting lingering fumes after cooking without needing manual switch-off.
Q: Does this Schweigen rangehood recirculate or need external ducting only?
A: No. Schweigen DS3326-9SP is ducted only, so it needs ducting to carry cooking smoke and steam out of the kitchen. It is not a recirculating model, which matters if your home cannot accommodate external venting.
Q: Where is the motor mounted on the DS3326-9SP rangehood?
A: The Schweigen DS3326-9SP uses an external motor rather than a motor inside the canopy. That keeps motor noise out of the cooking area, but it also means the installation is more involved than a simple internal-motor setup.
Q: Will this 90cm canopy suit a larger cooktop area?
A: Yes. The 90cm canopy is designed to cover wider cooking zones, so it suits larger cooktops and helps capture smoke across a broader area. In a compact kitchen, it can look oversized if the cooktop and wall space are narrower.
Q: Can the chimney height be adjusted for different wall spaces?
A: Yes. The adjustable height range of 647mm to 1027mm gives more flexibility when aligning the canopy with cabinetry or a taller splashback. It is still a wall canopy, so the final fit depends on your duct path and wall layout.
Q: How much extraction power does this Schweigen canopy rangehood have?
A: Schweigen DS3326-9SP has a 1600m3/hr ducted extraction capacity, which is aimed at clearing heavy smoke, steam and odours from larger kitchen spaces. Actual performance still depends on having a properly planned duct run and external motor setup.
Q: What is included with the Schweigen DS3326-9SP in the box?
A: Schweigen DS3326-9SP includes 1 x filter ducting in the box. That helps with a ducted setup, but this is still not a complete shortcut to installation because the model is designed around external venting rather than simple recirculation.
