Great Value and Reliable for CCTV Storage
They have been working great for my CCTV storage, with reliable performance and no issues so far. The price was also better than expected compared to most IT shops, so overall it feels like very good value.

Sandisk Extreme Micro SD memory card
I have not put this card into use yet however have purchased them before and find them good. My only issue with them is that for use in a camera they have to be placed into the larger case and as they are very tiny it is quite easy for them to slide out of the case and be lost when removing it from the camera.

The SanDisk Extreme microSDXC 64GB is a fast, durable memory card suited to people who want reliable storage for phones, action cameras, drones and portable gaming devices. Its main strengths are strong everyday speed, broad device compatibility and good support for 4K recording. The main limitation is that 64GB can feel tight for long 4K shoots or large game libraries.

Things to consider
While it is fast enough for most users and many 4K recording tasks, professionals shooting long sessions or needing larger project storage may prefer higher-capacity or top-tier cards with more sustained write performance.
Device compatibility score
9/10 - widely suited to compatible phones, tablets, action cameras, drones and handheld devices that support microSDXC cards.
4k video suitability
8/10 - a strong fit for many consumer 4K recording devices, though heavy professional workflows may benefit from higher-capacity or higher-endurance options.
Professional vs everyday use fit
Best for advanced everyday use and enthusiast content capture rather than demanding professional production workflows.
Durability rating
8/10 - designed for tougher everyday use and travel, with durability features that suit outdoor and mobile recording.

- Broad Device Compatibility: Works well across many compatible smartphones, tablets, action cameras, drones and handheld gaming devices.
- Durable Design: Built to better handle demanding use, including travel and outdoor shooting conditions.
- Good App Support: A solid option for compatible Android devices where users want smoother app storage expansion.

- Reliable Everyday Performance: Delivers a dependable balance of speed and capacity for regular photo, video and file storage.
Q: Is the SanDisk Extreme 64GB microSDXC suitable for 4K video recording?
A: Yes. Its U3 and V30 ratings mean it is designed for 4K recording that needs sustained write speed, such as action cameras, drones and some phones. It is less suited to very high bitrate formats that may need a faster UHS-II or V60 card.
Q: What does the A2 rating mean on this SanDisk Extreme 64GB card?
A: A2 means this card is optimised for faster app loading and random performance in supported Android devices. It can help when storing apps on the card, but the full A2 benefit depends on the phone or tablet supporting the A2 standard.
Q: Will this 64GB microSDXC card work in older devices that only support microSDHC?
A: No. This is a microSDXC card, so the device must support microSDXC to recognise the full 64GB capacity. Many older microSDHC-only devices are limited to cards up to 32GB, even if the physical slot size looks the same.
Q: How much 4K video can a 64GB SanDisk Extreme microSDXC card typically hold?
A: A 64GB card typically holds about 85 to 170 minutes of 4K video, depending on the camera's bitrate and codec. Higher quality settings fill the card faster, so frequent 4K recording may be better suited to 128GB or larger capacities.
Q: Why is this SanDisk Extreme card a better fit for cameras than a basic microSD card?
A: Because it combines Class 10, U3 and V30 ratings, which are aimed at faster and more consistent write performance for burst photos and 4K capture. A basic card may be fine for file storage, but it can bottleneck recording or slow transfers.
