In a word: Delighted! Number 2
As the MS Surface requires a keyboard, it was only natural to select one that is specifically designed for this product; The added benefit being that the keyboard doubles as a screen protector while travelling;

At a glance
This is a slim wireless keyboard cover made for newer 13-inch Surface Pro devices, ideal for students, commuters and professionals who want a tidy portable setup. Its strengths are responsive mechanical keys, backlighting, pen storage with charging, and up to 60 hours battery life with backlight off. The main limitation is its device-specific design, so it is less versatile than universal Bluetooth keyboards.

Work vs gaming suitability
Work-focused; suitable for productivity and study rather than gaming-specific performance
Ergonomics score
7/10 - slim and comfortable for portable typing, but not as supportive as full-size ergonomic keyboards
Multi-device compatibility
Best for compatible newer 13-inch Surface Pro devices; limited compared with universal keyboards
Portability rating
9/10 - very travel-friendly thanks to its slim cover format, wireless connection and integrated pen storage
Noise level vs category
Moderate - mechanical switches typically provide more audible feedback than very quiet membrane keyboards

Q: Is this keyboard compatible with older Surface Pro models such as Surface Pro 7?
A: No. This 13-inch Surface Pro Keyboard is made for newer 13-inch Surface Pro devices with the matching connector, such as Surface Pro 9, Surface Pro 10 and Surface Pro 11. It is not the right fit for older 12.3-inch models like Surface Pro 7.
Q: Does the Surface Pro 13 Inch Keyboard with Pen Storage include a pen?
A: No. "With pen storage" means the keyboard has a built-in compartment for a compatible Surface Slim Pen, but the pen is not automatically included. If a pen is part of the package, the product listing will state that clearly in the box contents.
Q: Can the pen charge while stored in this keyboard?
A: Yes. The built-in pen storage area is designed to hold and charge a compatible Surface Slim Pen while it is docked. It is intended for the Slim Pen range, not older full-size Surface Pen models that do not fit the storage channel.
Q: Are the keys backlit, and is this keyboard suitable for typing in dim light?
A: Yes. It has backlit keys, which makes it easier to type on flights, in lecture rooms or in low-lit spaces without needing a separate lamp. Backlighting improves visibility, but it does not change key travel or make it a full desktop keyboard replacement.
Q: Does this keyboard protect the Surface Pro screen when it is closed?
A: Yes. When folded shut, it acts as a slim cover over the display, which helps protect the screen from scratches during everyday travel. It is still a keyboard cover rather than a rigid case, so it is not designed for heavy impact protection.
