A great replacement for Gas cooktop

We wanted to replace our gas cooktop with an induction cooktop, but the cutout in our stone bench was quite small. The stone couldn't be cut, but the LG fitted perfectly in the cutout. It's a great cooktop that is easy to operate and clean. We love it.

Q: What does the 1 Flexi zone do on this LG 60cm induction cooktop?

A: The Flexi zone lets two cooking areas work together for larger cookware, such as a long grill plate or oversized pan. It adds more placement flexibility than four fixed round zones, especially when standard burner layouts feel restrictive.

Q: Can the Flexi zone on this LG cooktop be used with larger pans or a griddle plate?

A: Yes, that is the main benefit of the Flexi zone. It is designed to better suit longer or larger cookware than a single standard zone, but the base still needs to be induction compatible and sit flat for efficient heating and stable performance.

Q: What cookware can be used on the LG BCI607T4BG induction cooktop?

A: This cooktop needs cookware with a magnetic base, such as many stainless steel or cast iron pans. Aluminium, copper or glass cookware will not heat unless it has an induction-compatible magnetic layer bonded into the base.

Q: Is a 60cm 4-zone induction cooktop like this enough for everyday family cooking?

A: Yes, for many households a 60cm cooktop with 4 zones is a practical everyday size. This LG model adds 1 Flexi zone, which is useful when cooking with larger pans or combining side dishes and a main meal at the same time.

Q: Can this LG induction cooktop be used in a home where someone has a pacemaker?

A: Possibly, but induction cooking creates an electromagnetic field, so pacemaker users should follow the pacemaker maker's advice before use. In practice, this matters most when leaning very close to an active zone rather than general kitchen use.
