Good replacement for original beater without the silicone scraper
Got this to replace my original beater. The protective coating on my original beater part had become chipped at the point where it attaches to the machine. Which has meant it sometimes gets stuck in place. This new beater attachment does the job just as well as the original scraperless beater blade. It does scrape down the bowl sides a bit during mixing but isn't a game changer. Definitely still an upgrade though because it's so much easier to scrape down the mix off the blade into the bowl. Being able to scrape down and use the silicone edge to get mix off the beater actually makes things easier for me. I was worried that the scraper edge might affect the mixing quality but I've not encountered any issues or concerns. Successfully made light fluffy lamingtons with ease.

This KitchenAid beater attachment is an absolute game changer. No more stopping & starting the mixer to scrape the edge of the bowl, saving time when mixing. I'll likely use this all the time over the beater attachment that came with the mixer, as it's suitable for most things. This flex beater does all of the scraping for you. It just makes it must easier to mix now instead of stopping to scrape down the mixture from the side of the bowl
