This thing really cleans!
I'm done with swishing a traditional mop all over the floor. The FC7 is extremely easy to use as it just glides on the floor with its four rollers - it's an effortless exercise and it cleans our floors really well. There's a bit of disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling after mopping but it gets easier once you establish that procedure.

At a glance
The Karcher FC7 Cordless Hard Floor Cleaner is a premium cordless washer for households with mixed hard flooring such as timber, laminate, tile and vinyl. Its key strengths are one-pass washing, separate clean and dirty water tanks, and LED lighting for edges and darker areas. A fair limitation is the compact 400 mL clean water tank, which may need refilling during bigger whole-home cleans.

Key benefits
- One-pass hard floor washing: Cleans and washes hard floors in a single pass to reduce the need for separate manual mopping.
- Cordless runtime: Up to 45 minutes of battery operation gives you more freedom to clean without moving between power points.
- Coverage capacity: Covers up to 175 m² per charge, making it practical for larger hard floor areas.
- Twin tank system: Separate 400 mL clean water and 200 mL dirty water tanks help keep fresh water apart from collected grime.
- Automatic roller wetting: Keeps rollers consistently moistened for gentler cleaning on timber and laminate without flooding the surface.
- Integrated LED floor head: Lights up darker corners and edges so it is easier to spot debris near skirting boards.
- Broad hard floor compatibility: Suitable for parquet, laminate, stone, ceramic tiles, PVC and vinyl for homes with varied hard flooring.
- Cleaning and parking station: Gives you a dedicated place for storage and maintenance between cleaning sessions.
Q: Can the FC7 replace a vacuum on hard floors?
A: It is designed to wash hard floors while picking up everyday wet and dry dirt in the same pass. It is not a carpet cleaner, so rugs and carpeted rooms will still need a separate cleaner for regular floor care.
Q: Is this safe for sealed timber and laminate floors?
A: Yes. The rollers are automatically wetted, which helps clean sealed timber and laminate without flooding the surface. It is intended for hard floors, so unsealed timber and other absorbent flooring need a more cautious approach.
Q: How much floor can one charge realistically cover?
A: Karcher FC7 covers up to 175 square metres of hard flooring on a full charge, with up to 45 minutes of runtime per charge. Actual coverage will be lower if you make slower, more detailed passes around edges, furniture, or dried-on mess.
Q: What happens when the dirty water tank fills up?
A: The FC7 keeps clean and dirty water separate, with a 200mL dirty water tank and a 400mL clean water tank. On larger cleans, the dirty tank may need emptying before the battery is flat, especially if the floor is heavily soiled.
Q: Does it come with extra rollers and a place to store it?
A: Yes. Karcher FC7 includes 2 pairs of universal rollers, a battery charger, a cleaning brush, and a cleaning and parking station. That gives you a spare roller set on hand and a dedicated spot to park the cleaner between uses.
Q: Will the LED floor head help near skirting boards?
A: Yes. The integrated LED floor head lights darker areas under cabinets and along skirting boards, so dust and crumbs are easier to see while cleaning. It improves visibility, but large furniture still needs to be moved for full access.
