Great all round printer, copier, and scanner!
For the price, this multi function officejet, ticks all the boxes for home and small business use. Duplex printing is great, as is the scanning functionality. HP provides software to let you manage your printing, and for example, deleting unwanted scanned pages (e.g. blanks), together with troubleshooting functionality should something stop working. Fully wireless everything. All you need is the power cord! Highly recommended.

Reliable printer good for home and school use
I purchased this printer from The Good Guys and it has been an nice upgrade for our home and school workload. The ADF feeder is great— fast, accurate, and handles multi‑page worksheets without jams. Duplex printing works flawlessly for everyday priting saving paper and producing clean prints. Not professional quality printer for Photos - just dont expect premium photo quality compared to photo-lab standards; casual photos are fine. Setup was simple, the app support is stable, and the overall build quality feels more like an office machine than a typical home printer. Running costs are low, especially with HP Instant Ink, which keeps ink got 3 month free trial. dependable printer for school worksheets, scanning, and regular home‑office tasks.

Q: Is HP Instant Ink required to use this printer?
A: No. The HP OfficeJet Pro 8130e can use standard HP 924 series ink cartridges, so Instant Ink is optional rather than required. Instant Ink changes how ink is supplied, but the printer still operates as a normal cartridge inkjet.
Q: Which ink cartridges fit the HP OfficeJet Pro 8130e?
A: The HP OfficeJet Pro 8130e uses HP 924 series ink cartridges. That matters for ongoing costs and replacement planning, because this model does not take HP's older OfficeJet cartridge families used by some earlier printers.
Q: Can I print from an iPhone or Android phone?
A: Yes. The HP OfficeJet Pro 8130e supports Apple AirPrint, Mopria and the HP Smart App for wireless printing from phones and tablets. That suits shared home or office use, as long as the printer is connected to the same network.
Q: Does this printer work over Wi-Fi without a USB cable?
A: Yes. The HP OfficeJet Pro 8130e supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, so it can print wirelessly without staying connected by USB. USB is still available if a direct wired connection suits a single desk setup better.
Q: How well does this model handle multi-page scanning and copying?
A: It is designed for regular document batches because it includes an automatic document feeder for scanning and copying, plus automatic two-sided printing. That makes it better suited to worksheets, reports and forms than a print-only model.
Q: Will this suit a home office with regular document printing?
A: Yes. This model is set up for routine document work with print, scan, copy and fax functions, a 225-sheet input tray and automatic two-sided printing. It is a better fit for paperwork than for buyers focused mainly on photo output.
