Awesome printer
Absolutely great printer for an excellent price. Really easy to instal and quality is as good, if not better, than printers more than double the price. Looks great, takes up little space and does everything it says it does.

Hp printer - Good value
We needed to get a printer quick as our old one stopped working unexpectedly. We previously had an Hp Printer which we have been happy with so replaced with a similar one. This printer was great value for money and was easy to hook up and working as expected. As a bonus offer it also came with bonus ink cartridges.

Awsome printer
The HP Envy 6531e All-in-One Printer is an excellent choice for home users, students, and small home offices looking for an affordable printer that can print, scan, and copy without taking up much space. It combines modern wireless printing features with automatic duplex printing and an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF), making everyday tasks quick and convenient. What I Like ✅ Easy Wireless Printing Seamlessly prints from Windows PCs, Macs, smartphones, and tablets using the HP Smart App, Wi-Fi, and Apple AirPrint. ✅ Automatic Duplex Printing Saves paper by automatically printing on both sides of the page, a feature often missing from entry-level printers. ✅ Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) Makes scanning and copying multi-page documents much easier compared to lifting the scanner lid for every page. ✅ Good Photo Quality Produces vibrant colour prints and borderless photos, making it suitable for family photos, school projects, and creative work. ✅ HP Instant Ink Support The Instant Ink service can be a cost-effective option for regular users, with ink delivered automatically before cartridges run out ✅ Compact and Attractive Design Modern-looking printer that fits well in most home environments without dominating desk space.

At a glance
The HP Envy 6531e is a compact all-in-one inkjet printer designed for homes, families and small workspaces that need easy printing, scanning and copying. Its strengths are simple wireless setup, duplex printing, an auto document feeder and good-looking borderless photo output. A fair limitation is that it is better suited to light to moderate use than heavy-volume printing.

Things to consider
This model is a strong everyday all-rounder, but businesses or high-volume users may want a faster printer with larger paper capacity and lower cost per page.
Home office suitability score
8/10 - strong fit for home office tasks thanks to scan, copy, duplex printing, wireless access and an auto document feeder.
Photo printing quality
8/10 - well suited to borderless colour photos and everyday photo printing with high-resolution output.
Ease of use rating
9/10 - easy to operate with a touchscreen, mobile app support, wireless connectivity and automatic document feeding.
Running cost guidance
Best for light to moderate home use; Instant Ink can help manage ink replacement costs for eligible subscription users, but higher-volume users may prefer a model with lower ongoing page costs.
Family friendliness
8/10 - a good family printer for homework, forms, colour handouts and casual photo printing, with simple mobile printing for shared use.
Key benefits
- All-in-One Design: Handles printing, scanning and copying in one compact device to save desk space.
- Automatic Document Feeder: Makes multi-page scanning and copying easier without placing each sheet by hand.
- Automatic Duplex Printing: Prints on both sides of the page automatically, helping reduce paper use on longer documents.
- Wireless and Mobile Printing: Lets you print from phones, tablets and laptops using the HP app, Apple AirPrint, Chrome OS or Mopria services.
- Colour Touchscreen: Provides straightforward on-printer navigation for common tasks and setup.
- Borderless Photo Printing: Produces borderless photos and personalised photo cards for creative home use.
- High Print Resolution: Up to 4800 x 1200 dpi supports sharp text and vibrant colour images.
- 100-Sheet Input Tray: Holds up to 100 sheets, which suits routine home and small workspace printing.
Q: Can this printer handle multi-page scanning without lifting the lid?
A: Yes. The HP Envy 6531e has an automatic document feeder, so it can scan or copy multi-page documents without placing each sheet on the glass one by one. That suits forms, schoolwork and short office jobs better than a flatbed-only printer.
Q: Is the HP Envy 6531e good for frequent home office printing?
A: Yes, for light to moderate home office use. HP Envy 6531e prints at up to 10 ppm in black and 7 ppm in colour, so it suits everyday documents, but it is not the right fit for high-volume or time-critical print runs.
Q: What ink does the HP Envy 6531e use in Australia?
A: HP Envy 6531e uses HP 68 setup cartridges in the box, with one black and one tri-colour cartridge included. It is also Instant Ink enabled, which suits buyers who want automatic ink reordering rather than tracking levels manually.
Q: Will this printer work with iPhone, iPad and Android printing?
A: Yes. The HP Envy 6531e supports wireless printing from phones and tablets through the HP app, Apple AirPrint, Chrome OS and Mopria-certified services. That covers most common home devices without needing a permanent USB connection.
Q: Can it print borderless family photos as well as documents?
A: Yes. HP Envy 6531e supports borderless photo printing and colour output at up to 4800 x 1200 dpi on suitable HP photo paper. It suits home photos and school projects, but it is still a home inkjet rather than a photo lab printer.
Q: Does the HP Envy 6531e support non-HP ink cartridges?
A: No, not reliably. HP Envy 6531e uses dynamic security, which means cartridges with non-HP chips or circuitry may not work now or after future updates. Buyers planning to use third-party consumables should factor in that limitation before purchase.
