A Hair Dryer can speed up the natural hair drying process by blowing hot air. They're a great way to add volume, reduce frizz or help hold a stylish hairdo in place for longer with additional Hair Styling products. Hair Drying after a bath or shower is particularly nice in colder weather when wet hair is unbearably cold.

Aim to style hair as it dries using a comb to direct the hair into the desired position. For best results, start towards the roots of hair and work outwards like applying hair product.

Using certain salon styling products alongside a Hair Dryer will help protect hair cuticles from damage. Use medium heat and airflow settings rather than the highest ones to minimize the risk of heat damaged hair. Low settings work best for Hair Drying from two days after shampooing.

Thicker heads of hair need a Hair Dryer with a higher wattage motor for faster airflow, drying quicker without risking cuticle damage at higher temperatures. A good Hair Dryer should be comfortable and easily manoeuvrable. Check switches and dials are easy to operate and adjust to give more control while drying and styling. Concentrator settings can produce a narrower stream of airflow for more precision.

Curly hair benefits from a diffuser attachment to reduce frizz. Short fingers spread the airflow out whilst diffusers with longer fingers (also known as volumizers) direct airflow to hair roots adding volume.
