At a glance

It suits young beginners who want an easy device for family outings, school trips and everyday play. Key strengths include the flip lens, bright easy-to-spot colour and included tripod and monopod. Things to consider
This camera is built for kids and casual use, so it is less capable in low light and less versatile than higher-end compact cameras for serious photography.
Travel portability rating
8/10 - compact, lightweight and easy for children to carry on outings.
Beginner friendliness score
9/10 - designed for kids with simple operation, selfie-friendly lens and a clear screen.
Low light performance score
4/10 - best suited to bright everyday conditions rather than dim indoor or night shooting.
Vlogging suitability
Good for casual kid-friendly selfie clips and simple home videos, but not intended for advanced content creation.
Battery endurance rating
5/10 - the 400mAh rechargeable battery is convenient for casual sessions, though modest compared with more advanced cameras.

- 48MP Photo Capture: Supports high-resolution photo taking for everyday snapshots and fun projects.
- 400mAh Rechargeable Battery: Offers portable power without needing disposable batteries.
- Included Monopod: Helps improve stability when kids are taking handheld photos or videos.
- Included Tripod: Makes it easier to set the camera down for steadier shots or self-recording.
- Bright Green Finish: Easy to spot in bags, bedrooms or while out on family trips.
Q: Does the Crest Kids Digital Camera with Flip Lens need a memory card before it can save photos and videos?
A: Yes. This camera saves images and 1080p video to a Micro SD card, and the card is sold separately, so it is not ready to store files straight out of the box. Buying a compatible Micro SD card is needed before regular shooting.
Q: Can this Crest kids camera take selfies easily?
A: Yes. The flip lens is designed for selfies and front-facing portraits, which makes it easier for kids to frame themselves on the 2.4 inch screen. That is a practical difference from basic kids cameras with a fixed rear-facing lens only.
Q: Does the Crest OPN11301 print photos instantly like an instant print kids camera?
A: No. This model is a digital camera, not an instant print camera, so photos are stored on a Micro SD card rather than printed on the spot. If instant handouts are the priority, a kids instant print model would be a better match than this one.
Q: Is the battery rechargeable, or does this kids camera use disposable batteries?
A: It uses a rechargeable 400mAh lithium battery, so there is no need to keep replacing disposable batteries for everyday use. That suits family outings and school excursions better, but charging will still be needed between longer sessions.
Q: Does this kids digital camera include anything to help keep photos and video steady?
A: Yes. A monopod and tripod are included, which can help reduce camera shake when kids are taking photos or recording 1080p video. That is useful if steadier shots matter, as small lightweight cameras can be harder for children to hold still.
