    Worth the investment

Fresh homemade bread whenever we want it has saved us money and reduced food waste. The machine is simple to operate and has been reliable from day one. Kneading paddle may occasionally remain inside the loaf after baking, better take it out manually before baking. Rest I am trying different recipes and loving the overall experience. Highly recommend this product.

    Happy Bread maker

We are very happy with this bread maker which replaced a high end model that we acquired second hand. Though the bucket is slightly smaller it has a fixe paddle that works well and leaves less of an indent. we have been using bread makers for some years and so far this is proving to produce excellent loaves, different for each of us. Good price ,excellent value.

Q: Is a 900g loaf size enough for a family?

A: Breville The Bakers Dozen bakes loaves up to 900g, which suits most couples and small families for everyday sandwich bread. It is less suitable if you want extra-large bakery-style loaves or need to batch bake in one cycle.

Q: Can this bread maker make sourdough bread properly?

A: No. Breville The Bakers Dozen does not have a dedicated sourdough program, so sourdough recipes need more manual input using the Dough and Bake functions. It is better suited to sandwich-style loaves and other automatic programs.

Q: Does the delay timer work for raisin or nut loaves?

A: Yes. The automatic fruit and nut dispenser adds mix-ins during the cycle, so delayed baking is more practical than adding them by hand at the start. Delay start is best with shelf-stable ingredients rather than highly perishable fillings.

Q: Will the kneading blade stay in the bread after baking?

A: Sometimes. The kneading blade is removable, but it can still remain in the loaf after baking depending on the recipe and how the loaf releases. Removing the blade before slicing helps avoid tearing the crumb or cutting into the paddle.

Q: Is it quiet enough to run overnight in a kitchen?

A: Yes, for most homes. Breville The Bakers Dozen is generally quiet through much of the cycle, but the kneading stage is still audible, so light sleepers may notice it if the kitchen is close to bedrooms.

Q: Can the bread pan and parts go in dishwasher?

A: No. This bread maker is not listed with dishwasher-safe parts, so the bread pan and kneading blade should be washed by hand. The non-stick pan helps with release and cleanup, but it still needs gentler care than a dishwasher cycle.
