Excellent Entry Level Turntable
The sound is impressively clear and well‑balanced when paired with my Edifier speakers. Setup wasn’t difficult at all (although there were just diagrams with not much description). Bluetooth wireless connectivity is also very convenient. I got the best possible price at The Good Guys with their Price Beat offer, so it was great value for money. So far, it’s the best money I’ve spent.

- Belt-drive system: helps reduce motor noise reaching the record for cleaner everyday listening.

Q: Does this turntable need separate speakers to play records?
A: Yes. Audio Technica AT-LP60XBTBK needs external speakers, headphones or a wired audio system for listening. It can send audio by Bluetooth or through the RCA output, but it is not listed as having built-in speakers.
Q: Will it work with powered speakers without a separate amplifier?
A: Yes. Audio Technica AT-LP60XBTBK has a built-in switchable phono preamp, so it can connect directly to powered speakers or a receiver. That makes setup simpler and avoids needing a separate phono stage first.
Q: Can it connect to Bluetooth headphones as well as speakers?
A: Yes. Audio Technica AT-LP60XBTBK can stream vinyl to compatible Bluetooth headphones as well as Bluetooth speakers. aptX support can improve wireless audio quality, but the receiving device also needs to support aptX.
Q: Is the LP60XBT fully automatic or do you cue records manually?
A: Audio Technica AT-LP60XBTBK is fully automatic, so playback is handled without manual cueing each time. That makes it easier for beginners, but it does not offer the tonearm and speed adjustments some hands-on listeners prefer.
Q: Does it have USB for recording vinyl to a computer?
A: No. Audio Technica AT-LP60XBTBK is not listed with a USB connection for recording vinyl to a computer. Its connections are Bluetooth for wireless listening and RCA output for a wired audio system or powered speakers.
Q: Can the stylus be replaced instead of replacing the turntable?
A: Yes. Audio Technica AT-LP60XBTBK uses a replaceable diamond stylus, so normal stylus wear does not mean replacing the whole turntable. It also uses a dual moving magnet cartridge for straightforward ongoing maintenance.
Q: Can this model play 7-inch singles and full-size LPs?
A: Yes. Audio Technica AT-LP60XBTBK plays both 33 1/3 and 45 RPM records, which covers full-size LPs and most singles. It is designed for standard home listening rather than specialist formats or DJ-style manual control.
