Beginner vs audiophile fit
Beginner-focused
Home audio integration score
9/10 - Bluetooth plus a switchable phono preamp makes it easy to fit into both wireless and wired home setups.
Portability rating
6/10 - compact enough for smaller spaces and easy repositioning, but primarily designed as a stay-at-home turntable.
Vinyl preservation suitability
7/10 - automatic operation and improved tracking are gentle for routine use, though premium manual decks offer more setup precision.
Key benefits
- Fully Automatic Operation: Start, stop and tonearm lift controls make vinyl playback straightforward for new users.
- Bluetooth Connectivity: Pairs wirelessly with compatible speakers or headphones to reduce cable clutter.
- aptX Support: Improves wireless audio quality on compatible Bluetooth devices compared with standard SBC playback.
- 33 1/3 and 45 RPM Playback: Lets you enjoy both LPs and singles on one deck.
- Built-In Switchable Phono Preamp: Connects easily to a wider range of amplifiers, powered speakers and audio systems.
- Anti-Resonance Die-Cast Aluminium Platter: Helps reduce unwanted vibration for cleaner, more stable sound.
- Redesigned Tonearm Base and Headshell: Improves tracking and helps lower resonance during playback.
- Signal-to-Noise Ratio Above 50 dB: Supports cleaner listening with lower background noise during playback.
Q: Do I need a separate phono preamp with this turntable
A: No. The AT-LP60XBT has a built-in switchable phono pre-amp, so it can connect to powered speakers or an amplifier using a standard wired connection. That makes setup simpler if your audio gear does not have a dedicated phono input.
Q: Can it play through speakers without using Bluetooth at all
A: Yes. The AT-LP60XBT can be used as a regular wired turntable as well as wirelessly. Its switchable phono pre-amp gives flexibility to connect to compatible powered speakers, amplifiers or receivers when Bluetooth is not the best fit.
Q: Will it pair with Bluetooth headphones as well as speakers
A: Yes. The AT-LP60XBT can pair with compatible Bluetooth headphones, speakers and other wireless audio devices. It also supports aptX on compatible gear, but sound quality still depends on the receiving device and codec support.
Q: Is the stylus replaceable on the Audio Technica LP60XBT
A: Yes. The AT-LP60XBT uses a Dual Magnet cartridge with a replaceable stylus, so worn tips do not mean replacing the whole turntable. The cartridge is integrated into the headshell, so it is not aimed at frequent cartridge swapping.
Q: Can you adjust tracking force or anti skate on this model
A: No. The AT-LP60XBT is built for automatic, straightforward playback rather than manual tonearm tuning. That suits new vinyl listeners, but buyers wanting adjustable tracking settings and wider upgrade options may prefer a more advanced deck.
