  Honestly the mini-led is soo good that it almost looks as good as an OLED. And the blacks are soo rich. The TV also adapts itself to whatever content you’re watching. It switches itself to Dolby vision or DTS by itself. The audio also relays it to the soundbar to adapt like Dolby atmos.

  Very happy with resolution and colours. Switching between free to air viewing and streaming is really easy. Love the sound quality, no need for a sound bar.

  Excellence at an affordable price

  I bought another TCL, a bigger one, because we are aging now and need a bigger screen. I bought a TCL again, not because I have any way of knowing if it is better than other brands but because I already knew how to work it. It is very bright and clear compared to the previous TCL, which was 5 years old. The fact that the old one began playing up half way through its fourth year suggests that 5 years is the expected life of a TCL TV. I am comfortable with that. It is a smart TV and I wouldn't want it any smarter as there are enough choices already so this one is quite smart enough.. An old person like me needs the operation to be simple and memorable once the TV is set up. I am happy with it being under $1000 on sale and recommend it to people like me who are on a budget and don't want to play games etc. The Bang and Olufsen sound, by the way, is very good.

  The best sub $1000 TV?

  Picture quality is pretty amazing at this price point. Cant comment on sound as use a home theatre system. UI is a little laggy but not a big deal. To be expected at this price point. I did a fair bit of research and trawled through reviews before buying. Happy with the purchase and would buy again. 3 year warranty and a decent quality TV for under $1000. No complaints.
