Great phone for the ekderly
Purchased this for an 84yr old. Was able to change settings to simple mode and make writing larger. Great larger phone to be easier to read. And removed all the apps that were not needed.

Good Value
Was contemplating between the A17 and A27 for a teenager and glad that I finally bought the A37. Works better than expected, great battery runtime, fine camera and most importantly 6 years of software and security updates!! Definitely recommend the A37.

Great Value Phone with a Smooth 120Hz Display
I’ve been really happy with the Samsung Galaxy A37. It’s a snappy phone for everyday use, whether you’re browsing the web, using social media, or watching videos. The 120Hz display makes everything feel smooth and responsive, and the screen looks great. I don’t play many games, so I can’t comment on gaming performance, but for day-to-day tasks it handles everything with ease. The design is modern and looks more premium than you’d expect for the price. Overall, it’s a great value-for-money smartphone. If you’re looking for a reliable phone with a smooth display and solid everyday performance without spending a fortune, the Galaxy A37 is an easy recommendation.

Things to consider
It offers strong everyday performance, but buyers wanting premium zoom photography, flagship processing power or higher-tier build materials may prefer a more expensive model.
Global travel suitability
Good for international travel thanks to unlocked 5G capability, slim design and strong battery life, but travellers should still confirm local carrier band compatibility before purchase.
Student vs business fit
Best suited to students and everyday business users who need communication, apps, video calls and productivity on the go rather than premium enterprise features.
Camera performance score
8/10 - strong everyday camera setup with 50MP main sensor, autofocus, optical image stabilisation and 4K video, but less versatile than premium multi-lens flagships.
Battery endurance rating
9/10 - 5000mAh battery with up to 2 days of use offers excellent longevity for everyday users.
Key benefits
- 6.7 inch Super AMOLED display: Large, vivid screen makes videos, browsing and reading easier and more immersive.
- 120Hz refresh rate: Smoother scrolling and more responsive on-screen movement help the phone feel fluid in daily use.
- 1900 nits peak brightness: Better visibility in bright outdoor conditions helps with maps, messaging and media viewing.
- 50MP rear camera with autofocus and optical image stabilisation: Helps capture sharper everyday photos and steadier shots in varied conditions.
- 4K video recording: Lets you record moments with higher detail for clearer playback on larger screens.
- 5000mAh battery: Supports up to 2 days of use, reducing the need to recharge during busy routines.
- 45W Super-Fast Charging: Shortens charging time so you can get back to using the phone sooner.
- 5G and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity: Supports faster network access and more reliable wireless performance where supported.
Q: Does the Samsung Galaxy A37 5G support long-term software updates?
A: Yes. Samsung states the Galaxy A37 5G gets up to 6 OS upgrades and up to 6 years of security updates, which helps it stay current longer than many budget phones. That matters if you plan to keep the phone for several years.
Q: Is the Galaxy A37 5G easy to see outdoors in bright sunlight?
A: Yes. The 6.7 inch Super AMOLED screen reaches 1900 nits peak brightness, so maps, messages and video are easier to see outdoors than on dimmer displays. The 120Hz refresh rate also keeps scrolling looking smooth in daily use.
Q: Can I use wired headphones with the Samsung Galaxy A37 5G?
A: Yes, but it uses a USB Type-C audio connection rather than a 3.5mm headphone jack. That means USB-C earphones are the simplest option. If current headphones use a 3.5mm plug, an adapter may be needed depending on compatibility.
Q: Is the Samsung Galaxy A37 5G a good choice for everyday photos and steady video?
A: Yes. The 50MP rear camera includes autofocus and optical image stabilisation, which helps reduce blur from hand movement in photos and video. It also records in 4K, so it suits family shots, social posts and casual travel clips.
Q: How practical is the Galaxy A37 5G battery for a full day away from charge?
A: It is designed for heavy day-to-day use. The 5000mAh battery is rated for up to two days under Samsung's usage conditions, and 45W fast charging helps cut downtime. Actual battery life varies with 5G use, brightness and video streaming.
Q: What kind of performance should I expect from 6GB RAM and 128GB storage on this model?
A: This setup suits everyday use well, including messaging, browsing, streaming, maps and social apps. The 6GB memory helps with smooth multitasking, while 128GB storage gives room for apps and photos, though frequent 4K video recording will use space faster.
