Things to consider
It offers strong everyday performance, but buyers wanting flagship-grade zoom, pro-level imaging controls, or top-tier gaming power may need a more premium phone.
Global travel suitability
Good for travel thanks to its unlocked design, long battery life, slim build, and IP68 water resistance.
Student vs business fit
Best for students and everyday business users who prioritise battery life, portability, and a large screen over flagship power.
Camera performance score
7.5/10 - strong everyday photo and 4K video performance with optical image stabilisation, but not positioned as a flagship camera phone.
Battery endurance rating
8.5/10 - 5,000mAh battery is designed for up to two days of typical use, with 45W fast charging for quicker top-ups.
Key benefits
- 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display: Large, vivid screen makes streaming, reading, and browsing more enjoyable.
- 120Hz refresh rate: Smoother scrolling and more fluid navigation than standard 60Hz displays.
- 50MP rear camera with optical image stabilisation: Helps capture sharper everyday photos and steadier video.
- 12MP front camera: Well suited to selfies, video calls, and social content.
- UHD 4K video recording: Lets you capture higher-detail video for travel clips and family moments.
- 5,000mAh battery: Designed for up to two days of typical use between charges.
- 45W Super-Fast Charging: Reduces downtime when you need to recharge quickly.
- IP68 water resistance: Better suited to everyday spills and rain than phones without this rating.
Q: Is 128GB of storage enough for everyday use on the Samsung Galaxy A37 5G?
A: Yes. For most buyers, 128GB is enough for everyday apps, photos, messages and offline music. If you regularly record 4K video, storage will fill faster than with standard Full HD clips, so heavier shooters may need to manage files more often.
Q: Is 6GB of memory enough for multitasking on the Samsung Galaxy A37 5G?
A: Yes. With 6GB of memory, the Galaxy A37 5G suits everyday multitasking such as messaging, web browsing, streaming and switching between common apps. It is less suited to keeping many heavy games or editing apps open at the same time.
Q: What does the 120Hz display mean in day to day use on this Galaxy A37 5G?
A: A 120Hz screen refreshes more often than a standard 60Hz display, so scrolling, menus and supported games look smoother and feel quicker to respond. The trade-off is that higher refresh rates can use more battery during heavier screen use.
Q: Is the Samsung Galaxy A37 5G a good choice for long days away from a charger?
A: Yes. The 5000mAh battery is sized for full-day use with calling, messaging, streaming and navigation, and lighter users may stretch it into a second day. Heavy gaming, 4K video recording and 5G use will drain it faster than basic tasks.
Q: How can I identify that this phone is the exact Samsung Galaxy A37 5G model on this page?
A: Check the phone details under Settings, then About phone, and match the listed device information with the product name on this page. The Good Guys model reference here is 11901362221, which is also useful when comparing listings or receipts.
Q: Is the Samsung Galaxy A37 5G comfortable to use for streaming, photos and everyday carry?
A: Yes. Its 6.7 inch screen gives more room for video, reading and framing photos, while the 196g weight is still manageable for daily carry. The trade-off is that a larger handset is usually less convenient for one-handed use than a smaller phone.
