Pros
Premium Feel, Quiet Performance and Great Customisation – But Expensive
The Logitech MX Master 4 is an impressive wireless mouse with a premium look and feel. One of my favourite features is how quiet it is, making it great for both office and home use. The Logitech software offers plenty of customisation options, allowing you to personalise buttons and shortcuts to suit your workflow. The haptic feedback is also a nice addition, giving the mouse a more refined and enjoyable experience. On top of that, it looks absolutely amazing! On the downside, it’s quite expensive, and I wish Logitech had included some lighting options to add a bit more visual customisation. Overall, a fantastic mouse with excellent build aesthetics, quiet operation and useful features.

Overall Same MX Goodness
Replaced my older MX 3. Took some getting used to due to the slightly different shape. New buttons and features are overkill imho, but might be the deciding factor for some.

Smooth, Comfortable and Well Built
Really happy with the MX Master 4. The graphite colour looks great, and the mouse feels comfortable and smooth to use. The scrolling is excellent, and the buttons are responsive. Feels well made and works really well for everyday use.

Sophisticated and Ergonomic for a Mouse
This is one of the best Mouse I have ever had and it so easy to use with Horizontal scroll bar that comes really handy. You can connect to 3 devices and switch between them as required. No need for batteries as it comes with a in built battery that can be recharged with type c cable. I got a really great deal with the good guys and they ensured it was delivered at the earliest possible. Would highly recommend anyone who is on the lookout for a Wireless fancy Mouse.

At a glance
The Logitech MX Master 4 Wireless Mouse is a premium productivity mouse for professionals, creators and multitaskers who want precise control, fast scrolling and custom shortcuts. Its strengths are haptic feedback, strong customisation and reliable tracking on almost any desk surface, including glass. One limitation is that it is tuned more for workflow and comfort than competitive gaming.

Things to consider
Excellent for productivity, but users wanting a very lightweight shape or gaming-focused responsiveness may prefer a specialist gaming mouse.
Work vs gaming suitability
Best for work and productivity; suitable for casual gaming but not purpose-built for competitive gaming
Ergonomics score
9/10 - shaped for long work sessions with a comfort-first design aimed at precision and control
Multi-device compatibility
Strong - designed for customisable workflows and modern multi-device productivity setups
Portability rating
7/10 - wireless convenience makes it easy to move between desks, though it is primarily a desktop productivity mouse
Noise level vs category
Moderate - quieter than many gaming mice in general use, with scrolling and clicks tuned more for office productivity than silence
Key benefits
- Haptic Sense Panel: Customisable haptic feedback gives clearer confirmation for specific actions and shortcuts.
- Actions Ring: Shortcut tools at the cursor can save up to 33% of time across tested desktop actions, depending on setup.
- MagSpeed Scroll Wheel: Scrolls up to 1,000 lines per second for faster movement through long documents and pages.
- 8k DPI Tracking: High-precision tracking supports smooth control on a wide range of surfaces, including glass.
- Improved Connectivity: 2x better connectivity helps deliver a more dependable wireless experience in busy work setups.
- Logi Options+ Support: Software customisation makes it easier to tailor buttons, shortcuts and behaviour to your workflow.
- Improved Stain Resistance: The finish is better suited to maintaining a cleaner-looking surface with regular daily use.
Q: Does the Logitech MX Master 4 work on glass desks or glossy surfaces?
A: Yes. The MX Master 4 has 8K DPI tracking designed to work on most surfaces, including glass, which is useful if a desk mat is not always used. That makes it more flexible than mice that need a traditional mouse pad for stable cursor control.
Q: Can the Logitech MX Master 4 connect by both Bluetooth and a USB receiver?
A: Yes. This mouse supports Bluetooth and also a USB-C dongle connection, giving two setup options depending on the device. The dongle is the better fit if lower-latency, more stable desktop use matters, while Bluetooth keeps a USB port free.
Q: What does the haptic feedback on the Logitech MX Master 4 actually do?
A: It gives tactile vibration feedback when specific actions or shortcuts are triggered, so there is a physical cue without needing to watch the screen as closely. In practice, that can help with tasks like slider adjustments, notifications and desktop switching.
Q: Do I need extra software to use the Actions Ring and customise the MX Master 4?
A: Yes. Custom shortcuts, haptic settings and app-based controls use Logi Options+ on Windows or macOS. The mouse will still handle basic pointing and clicking without it, but the Actions Ring feature is intended to be set up through that software.
Q: Is the Logitech MX Master 4 a good choice for quiet office or shared-space use?
A: Yes. It uses Quiet Clicks that reduce click noise by 90% compared with a standard louder mechanical click, which helps in shared desks or study spaces. It is a better fit for focused work than a mouse with sharp, highly audible button sounds.
