Disclaimers: (1)Based on KTL Testing in accordance with IEC 62885-2 and IEC 62885-4, 220W reached when in Turbo Mode. (2)Based on LG internal testing results observed by Intertek. A9 Kompressor™ receptacle capacity was tested on Turbo mode. Cat hair (Maine Coon) was suctioned and compressed by the manual compression function repeatedly until it reached the receptacle capacity. Compression efficiency "2.2x" was calculated by comparing the weight of compressed cat hair with the weight of non-compressed cat hair (both with the same volume). Actual receptacle capacity (compression efficiency) may vary depending on operating environment.

At a glance

The LG CordZero A9L-TOWER2 is a premium cordless stick vacuum built for convenient whole-home cleaning, with strong suction, a self-emptying tower and tools for floors, upholstery and pet hair. It suits busy households that want less mess and easier storage. Its main limitation is that up to 60 minutes runtime can vary by power mode, so heavy deep cleans may need a battery swap.

  • Everyday home cleaning
  • Pet hair pickup
  • Mixed floor cleaning
  • Quick tidy-ups
  • Upholstery cleaning
  • Low-clutter storage

Where it works best

  • Apartments
  • Family homes
  • Multi-surface living areas
  • Homes with pets
  • Bedrooms
  • Lounge rooms

Who it’s for

  • Pet owners
  • Busy households
  • Apartment dwellers
  • Families
  • Convenience-focused buyers
  • Everyday cleaners

Things to consider

While it is versatile and convenient, its up to 60-minute runtime is mode-dependent, so specialist deep-cleaning vacuums or larger corded models may suit very large homes or long heavy-duty sessions better.

Pet hair performance score

9/10 - Pet-friendly design plus the Power Drive Mini nozzle make it well suited to removing hair from floors and fabric surfaces.

Carpet vs hard floor suitability

Well suited to both carpets and hard floors thanks to the DUAL Floor Max nozzle, with added versatility for upholstery.

Portability rating

8/10 - Cordless design and detachable batteries make it easy to move around the home, though the tower adds a fixed storage station.

Noise level vs category average

6/10 - At 82 dBA, it is on the louder side of the stick vacuum category rather than especially quiet.

Allergy friendliness

8/10 - Multi-stage filtration, automatic dust emptying and washable filters support more hygienic dust handling for everyday cleaning.

Key benefits

  • Up to 220W suction: Delivers strong pickup for dust, dirt and debris across everyday floor cleaning.
  • All-in-One Tower: Stores, charges and helps empty the vacuum in one free-standing station with no wall mounting required.
  • Automatic dust emptying: Reduces hands-on contact with collected dirt for cleaner, more convenient disposal.
  • DUAL Floor Max nozzle: Cleans carpets and hard floors with one main head, reducing attachment changes during routine cleaning.
  • Power Drive Mini nozzle: Helps lift pet hair and debris from lounges, bedding and other fabric surfaces.
  • Kompressor dust compression: Compresses dust and hair so the bin can hold up to 2.2x more than non-compressed collection in LG's cited testing.
  • Two lithium-ion batteries: Supports longer cleaning sessions with battery swapping when needed.
  • Washable filters and dust bin: Makes routine maintenance simpler and can help keep cleaning performance consistent over time.

Q: Is this suitable for a large home or long cleaning sessions

A: LG CordZero A9L-TOWER2 is designed for whole-home cleaning and includes 2 batteries for longer sessions. The listed 60-minute runtime varies by power mode, so larger homes or heavier carpet cleaning may still need a battery swap partway through.

Q: Can it vacuum wet spills as well as dry dust

A: No. LG CordZero A9L-TOWER2 is for dry vacuuming only, including carpets, hard floors and upholstery. Wet spills need a separate wet cleaner or manual clean-up, because this model is not designed for wet and dry use.

Q: Does the All-in-One Tower need wall mounting or permanent installation

A: No. The All-in-One Tower is free-standing, so it stores, charges and empties the vacuum without wall mounting. It still needs a dedicated floor spot near a power point, which matters more than height if space is tight.

Q: How does the self-emptying tower work with bagged and bagless cleaning

A: The vacuum itself uses a bagless bin, then the tower empties collected dirt into a 2.5L dust bag. That means day-to-day cleaning stays cordless and compact, but the tower bag is a consumable that will need replacing over time.

Q: Does it handle pet hair on lounges and fabric furniture

A: Yes. It includes a Power Drive Mini nozzle for fabric surfaces such as lounges, pet bedding and upholstered chairs. It is meant for lifting hair and debris rather than wet pet messes, so dried fur pickup is the stronger use case.

Q: Will this stick vacuum be especially quiet in an apartment

A: No. LG CordZero A9L-TOWER2 is rated at 82 dBA, so it is not an especially quiet stick vacuum. It can still suit apartment storage and quick cleans, but the sound may be more noticeable in small rooms or at night.
