  Good option, could be better

  We went with this doorbell to stay in the Eufy ecosystem of not paying subscription fees and not having to buy a home base unit. So far it is doing a great job of providing surveillance of parcel deliveries and letting us know when a parcel is detected. As a doorbell, it is pretty ineffective. Significant lag between the doorbell press and our phones has led to us missing having a conversation with a visitor. We have a 500mb/s home internet and even testing that with our phone on the same connection, the lag is not great for talking. It is passable for being notified of a doorbell press though. We have resorted to setting up automatic voice responses if the doorbell is pressed, which is a good feature. The battery is pretty decent - so far it has used 20% battery in 3 weeks of use. It is a good decision for the eufy users and I would recommend it, provided the poor experience talking to visitors is not a deal breaker.
