Makes great coffee
Bought this to replace a 20+ year old Breville machine that had done very good service until the on-off button stopped working, so there are high expectations from this machine. The integrated grinder is good and is saving bench space. The milk frothing is the standout feature for me as this was something I disliked doing manually, the machine also produces much better textured milk than I could. The machine is living up to the claim to make barista-standard coffee. Little niggles; I find the water tank a bit fiddly to open, mounting the portafilter needs a bit of strength

Great coffee machine for at home use
Bought our Breville Barista Touch after months of research into coffee machines and couldn't be happier. The touchscreen interface makes it very easy to adjust settings such as grind size, grind time, espresso extraction time and temperature/texture of milk. After a little trial and error in the set-up phase, the machine is now set to our personal taste and we couldn't be happier. We now make Oat milk lattes on a daily basis that are just as good as our favourite cafe. Highly recommend buying this machine if you want cafe quality coffee in your own home.

Fabulous coffee machine
Love the coffee I am making with the Breville Barista Touch. I purchased the White Horse Coffee Beans and dialled in the bean grind setting with help from my daughter who already has this machine. Dialling in the bean to perfect setting for grinding is important and I’m glad that I had help to do this. Using the machine is easy once you get used to the procedure. It makes a lovely coffee and I’m enjoying the Long Black with milk and the Latte coffee.

Breville Barista Touch - My Coffee Making Gem
I love being able to make my own coffee at home when I want to. I had a different brand coffee machine for12 years until it totally died. Rumour had it that the brand was going out of production in the near future so I had to buy a different brand coffee machine. After months of research, I decided on the Breville Barista Touch. Breville allows you to adjust the temperature of your milk. Most other brands don't allow this. To be honest, I was worried any new coffee machine would not come up to scratch when compared to my old machine. I rang around to try to get a good price on the Touch and The Good Guys were the only ones who offered me a decent discount. They were amazing!! To make sure I was going to get the best coffee out of this machine, I watched the online Breville Barista Touch videos on how to set it up. I had to ensure the coffee beans were on the correct grind so that the crema was the best I could achieve. The Touch did a great job and it didn't take long to make a great latte. Being able to pre-program the coffee preferences for 8 different people is a real treat. My friends love coming over and enjoy being able to just press their personal option to get their perfect coffee. There are a few things to be aware though about this machine. Firstly, if you change the setting from a single cup to a double cup, the change will apply to all coffees you make despite your pre-programmed settings, so remember to check the cup setting if need be. Secondly, with every new bag of coffee beans, you may have to make a minor adjustment to your grind and brewing time. This is to be expected though. There are a lot of plastic components in this machine so when you tighten the portafilter in the group head, the machine may move a bit. The water tank is smaller compared to my old machine but I just keep it topped up daily. Make sure that you empty the drip tray after each coffee making session. It's not real big either. The bean hopper is also a bit small but its really easy to top that up too. I love this machine and have experimented using lots of different milks. Adjusting the amount of froth you want is awesome but make sure when using plant based milks to buy the barista version. This ensures you get more froth for your buck!!
