The best thing about these effortless, healthy cooking ideas is they use the AirFry and Easy Bake +Steam features in some of Westinghouse’s best ovens to lock in flavour and nutrients and add the perfect crunch. Here’s how…
What’s the difference between the AirFry and EasyBake +Steam functions on a Westinghouse oven?
“While both the air-frying and steam features are designed to effortlessly elevate your cooking, the difference comes down to crunch versus moisture,” says Tania Grillinzoni, The Good Guys Buyer – Cooking.
How the AirFry function works
This setting on select Westinghouse ovens uses intense, rapidly circulating dry heat to deliver a deep-fried-style crunch with a fraction of the oil required for regular frying.
How the Easy Bake +Steam function works
By introducing moisture into your Westinghouse oven cavity, the steam setting prevents food from drying out. It’s your secret weapon for locking juices into a weeknight roast, getting a bakery-style rise and glossy crust on your bread, or reviving sad-looking leftovers.

Steak Diane And Sweet Potato Chips

Recipe by Westinghouse
Prep time: 15 mins
Cook time: 30 mins
Serves 4
Ingredients
2 sweet potatoes, cut into chips, sprayed with rice bran oil and seasoned
Rice bran oil spray
4 x 200g eye fillet steaks
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
200ml thickened cream
1 head of broccoli, cut into florets
Method
Preheat the oven to 230°C on AirFry.
Arrange the sweet potato chips evenly on the AirFry tray and cook for 15 minutes.
In the meantime, oil and season the steaks and sear in a heavy pan on the stovetop. Set aside.
After 15 minutes, reduce heat to 220°C and arrange the sweet potato to make room for the steaks.
Add steaks and cook for 8 minutes.
Meanwhile, in the steak frying pan, sauté the garlic in olive oil for 1 minute. Add the Worcestershire sauce and simmer for 3 minutes before adding the cream. Simmer until combined and keep warm.
Remove the steaks after 4 minutes and allow them to rest.
While the steaks are resting, boil the kettle and blanch the broccoli florets for 2 minutes, drain, oil and season.

Oven to air fryer conversion tips
Converting your favourite oven-baked recipes for air-frying is a breeze with these simple tweaks:
Lower the suggested oven temperature by 15-20°C.
Shave 20-25 per cent off the cooking time.
Arrange your ingredients in a single layer for optimum superheated air circulation.
Westinghouse Steam Oven recipes
Nourish your loved ones without sacrificing flavour by using the moisture-locking magic of your Westinghouse Steam Oven.

Garlic Herb Steamed Salmon
Place seasoned salmon fillets and asparagus on a perforated pan. Mince 2-3 cloves of garlic and finely chop a tablespoon of your favourite fresh herbs, then gently press the mixture onto the top of the salmon fillets. Use Easy Bake +Steam at 180°C for 8-10 minutes, until the fish easily flakes with a fork. Finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a sprinkle of fresh dill for a vibrant, low-effort meal.
Mediterranean Tray Bake
Roughly chop and toss your favourite vegetables onto a tray in a single layer – think capsicum, zucchini, eggplant, red onion and cherry tomatoes. Use Easy Bake +Steam at 200°C for 25 minutes or until the veggies are tender. Remove from the oven and add a squeeze of lemon juice.
TIP: Use the AirFry function for the last 5 minutes of the bake to add crispy edges!
