OK, but you pay for the name and the look.
Toasts well enough, but I have now had to replace several SMEG toasters because the toasting rack bends with time and no longer 'tracks'. Also, if a piece of bread gets stuck in the toaster it is very difficult to remove, the draw underneath is pretty useless. And, of course, you end up buying a matching kettle, which is also only average. In my opinion both the toaster and the kettle are overpriced.

Be ready to catch your toasts as the spring is too strong, toaster broke down under 5 months need to toast on 1 even that stillburns the toast, matching kettle sometimes the lid doesn't open would never buy smeg again

A bit springy
It's a great product but sometimes it pops up so hard and fast that the toast is flung skywards, does a vault and a triple axle before landing on the bench. Why can't we have a toaster that gently automatically lowers the bread and raises the toast equally slowly? We had one in the 1980s. Or have we just forgotten what we knew forty years ago?
