Absolutely fantasticradio
It really worth it. I was recommended by the salesperson Matthew for this product and I enjoy the clear sound quality of this radio. I know I am old school and nowadays many ppl are using phones to listen to radios but I still enjoy the function this product. I would say this is a little bit heavy but it really worth it.

Excellent radio --- eventually.
Bought this radio after a lot of research and tracked one down at "The Goodguys" I took the first one home but when I switched it on -- NOTHING, no sound or anything. I immediately took it back to Caringbah store (Bill) who was amazed -- never happened before!!! However Bill's concern and help were faultless, he quickly gave me another radio which I am very pleased to report has worked impeccably since. The sound is excellent as is tuning and reception. Just what I was hoping for.

Nice Radio
For the price it works really well. I use it as an outside radio to listen to music or the AFl. I like that you can have the display light on at night or turn it off so it doesn't light the house up, it also can be dulled.

7/10 - portable design with battery level display and compact everyday usability, but built more for convenient carry-around listening than rugged outdoor use.

Q: Does the Bluetooth on this Sangean radio let you play music from a phone?
A: Yes. Bluetooth on a portable radio like this is designed to receive audio from a phone, tablet or similar device and play it through the radio’s speaker. Do not assume it can send sound to Bluetooth headphones unless transmit mode is listed separately.
Q: Do you need internet or mobile data to use DAB+ on this radio?
A: No. DAB+ and AM/FM are broadcast signals, so this radio can tune stations over the air without Wi-Fi or mobile data. Data is only relevant if a phone streams music to the radio over Bluetooth from an app or online service.
Q: Will this radio still be useful if DAB+ coverage is patchy in my area?
A: Yes. The benefit of a DAB+ and AM/FM model is flexibility, because AM or FM can still be the more reliable option in fringe or regional areas. DAB+ is strongest in many metro locations, but indoor placement and local coverage still matter.
Q: Is DAB+ sound always better than FM on a portable radio like this?
A: No. DAB+ often sounds cleaner and avoids FM hiss when coverage is strong, but weak digital reception can cause dropouts or muting rather than gradual noise. In some locations, FM or even AM may remain the steadier option for live radio.
Q: Can this Sangean radio replace a small Bluetooth speaker as well as a radio?
A: Yes, for casual listening. A portable Bluetooth radio can handle radio broadcasts and streamed audio from a phone in one unit, but it is still tuned for radio-style everyday use rather than the heavier bass or stereo separation of some dedicated speakers.
