By packing millions of tiny organic light-emitting diodes (hence, OLED), the innovators at LG created an astonishingly thin TV that beamed superior picture quality ‒ colours were brighter, contrast was sharper and, with no backlighting, energy efficiency was switched on too.

LG OLED TVs stand out from traditional LED TVs because of their use of organic light-emitting diode technology, or OLED for short. Unlike LED TVs, which rely on a backlight to illuminate the entire screen, OLED TVs light up each individual pixel independently. This means that OLED TVs can achieve perfect black levels and infinite contrast ratios, resulting in stunning picture quality with vibrant colors and sharp details.
LG QNED delivers a wider gamut with dynamic QNED colour which replaces Quantum Dots for enhanced colour reproduction.
