It’s almost an original LG remote, just that it’s not magic remote. Rest it an excellent alternative.

Life’s Good with LG
Just as advertised worked straight away with my LG Tv. Inexpensive so if the kids destroy it or lose it I’ll just go grab another from thegoodguys.

Key benefits
- Dedicated Streaming Buttons: Quick access to Netflix and Prime Video saves up to 30 seconds per session.
- Genuine LG Compatibility: Ensures every button works as intended with LG TVs, reducing setup issues.
- Easy Setup: Ready to use out of the box with included batteries, requiring no pairing.

- Wide Model Support: Compatible with LG Smart TVs, Freeview Plus, 3D, and non-smart models.
Q: Is this remote compatible with every LG TV model
A: No. LG AN-CR500 is model-specific rather than a one-remote-fits-all option. It is designed for compatible LG smart, Freeview Plus, 3D and non-smart TVs, so matching the remote model number before purchase helps avoid button or menu mismatches.
Q: Can it replace an LG Magic Remote
A: No. AN-CR500 is a standard button-based remote for everyday TV control. It suits buyers who want a straightforward replacement or spare, but it is not the more advanced remote style used on some LG TV models.
Q: Does this remote control other brands or extra devices
A: No. This remote is intended for compatible LG TVs only, so it is not a universal controller for other TV brands or home theatre gear. If one remote is needed for multiple devices, this model is not the right fit.
Q: Will it work with LG smart TV apps
A: Yes, with a compatible LG TV. AN-CR500 is suitable for LG smart TVs, including models with Freeview Plus, and gives button-based access to everyday TV functions. Compatibility is still model-specific, so the remote model should be matched first.
Q: Are the buttons easy to read and press
A: Yes. The large, easy-to-read buttons and straightforward layout make common controls easier to find quickly. This makes the remote a practical spare or replacement where a small or crowded keypad would be less convenient to use.
